This Year's Model Updates:

For 2004, the Yukon features the addition of a tire-pressure monitoring system and newly styled optional 17-inch wheels. A chrome exhaust tip is now standard and the trailering package includes a seven-to-four-pin adapter and electric brake wiring harness. For added safety, the Yukon now features Hydroboost brakes, and there is a front passenger seatbelt reminder. The antenna for the optional XM Satellite Radio is smaller this year, and the rear-seat entertainment system can now be combined with a sunroof. Lastly, the passenger-side exterior door lock has been eliminated.

Pros:
  • Strong engines, roomy and versatile interior, rugged chassis, numerous available amenities.
Cons:
  • Spotty build quality, interior materials could be better.

  • Better than 1997 - 2004 GMC Yukon

After owning a 1997 Yukon, I was not sure much could be improved. But our new 2004 is amazing. Interior comfort and appointment is so much better. Exterior styling is outstanding. The new 17" wheels are a great add-on. The ability to get a sunroof and DVD (not available in 2003) is worth the extra expense of a 2004 model. Turning radius is beyond belief. You can actually park the Yukon in a normal parking lot. Gas mileage is about the same (18/15) and reliability is not yet known. Theres no denying....2004 Yukon beats Expedition, Sequoia and any other full- size SUV.

I enjoy this vehicle very much. I never thought that a four wheel drive vehicle could be this comfortable.

I have had my fair share of suvs in my opinion most of them are terrible. I havve also test driven the ones i have not owned. By far the yukon denali xl is the best overall.. My only concern is falling asleep because this vehicle drives itself. It feels like a $80,000 sedan and it even parallel parks like a cooper.

  • The best SUV ever owned - 2004 GMC Yukon

Has alot of pick and go. Smooth ride and enough power to easily pull a 28 boat up a ramp without a struggle.

  • Yukon XL - 2004 GMC Yukon

Ive had 1998 and 2001 Linc Navigators and the 2001 had all sorts of problems and has a ride that compares to a 3/4 ton truck. The GMC Yukon XL has more room and good towing capacity, but drives with car comfort. Very consistant purformer with good quality to value ratio in the GMC Yukon.

  • My new Denali - 2004 GMC Yukon
    By -

We bought this new GMC Denali on January 22, 2004. We have to homes to travel to being 400 miles apart from each other. When driving on the highway I believe the Denalis ride is 2nd to none as far as smoothness and comfort go. The more we drive it the more we love it.Three times back and forth from Mass. to Northern Maine in style, and it just keeps getting better.
