Overview & Reviews
For 2004, the Yukon features the addition of a tire-pressure monitoring system and newly styled optional 17-inch wheels. A chrome exhaust tip is now standard and the trailering package includes a seven-to-four-pin adapter and electric brake wiring harness. For added safety, the Yukon now features Hydroboost brakes, and there is a front passenger seatbelt reminder. The antenna for the optional XM Satellite Radio is smaller this year, and the rear-seat entertainment system can now be combined with a sunroof. Lastly, the passenger-side exterior door lock has been eliminated.
- Strong engines, roomy and versatile interior, rugged chassis, numerous available amenities.
- Spotty build quality, interior materials could be better.

Best in all classes - 2004 GMC Yukon
By Autopilot - May 15 - 2:00 amI rate the Yukon the best in all classes of SUVs. I had a Ford Explorer that I traded for the Yukon. It was OK and never gave me trouble, but the Yukon has it beat all ways for comfort, ease of handling and the gas mileage is about the same even though the engine and vehicle is overall bigger. I love everything about this SUV

YUKON - OUTSTANDING VALUE - 2004 GMC Yukon
By STEVKETT - May 15 - 2:00 amThis is an excellent overall choice in its class as is comfortable, reliable an actually gets decent mileage in town for a big 4WD SUV (15). Its not a Lexus but I saved enough money to buy my wife a new Camry as well, and heck theyre trucks!

Denali won the competition - 2004 GMC Yukon
By wifey - May 14 - 2:00 amWe compared the Denali to the Eddie Bauer Expedition, Nissan Armada, and the Toyota Sequoia. We drove all of them, and had all family members assess the features of each since this was a family decision. The Denali was the clear overall winner.

Keeps breaking - 2004 GMC Yukon
By marksmanlapd - May 9 - 2:00 amThe 4x4 in my truck keeps breaking and GM is unable to fix it. I would buy a Yukon again just not with 4x4 in it. At this time I am seeking the lemon law for assistance.

Yukon Denali - 2004 GMC Yukon
By Jon Rud - May 4 - 2:00 amThe Denali has performed great under all conditions. We have driven through 3 blizzards and felt completely comfortable with the traction and handling. Towing a large boat and enclosed trailor are no trouble at all, you would not know that they are there except for the gas gauge moving. Which is my only complant about the truck, and for the power that it has I probably should not complain. I have put on 14,000 so far and it has been exceptional.

By ExonicJay - May 4 - 2:00 amI just purchased my second Yukon. I really like features the 2004 model offers over my older 2000 model.

steering and alignment suck - 2004 GMC Yukon
By Michael22 - April 12 - 2:00 amThe steering shaft, alignment, and crossmember keep needing work. I took it in 3 times for alignment because the tires are wearing on the outter side, and the steering shaft has been changed once, and it still makes noises and rattles when i turn, and the crossmember has been changed because it made clicking noises when i turned-- that is the only problem the dealer fixed right the first time.

I LOVE MY YUKON - 2004 GMC Yukon
By kayj - April 10 - 2:00 amI usually dont keep a vehicle as long as this but I plan to hold on to the Yukon. It is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned. It rides like a caddy and is quieter than anything I have had. And I have owned Ford Explorer and Expedition as well as Jeep Grand Cherokee.
