We purchased our 97 Suburban new and will probably have it for 3-5 more years. Its been a great vehicle! Im big on maintenance. Treat the car right and the car will treat you right. Consequently, weve never had a break down or surprise issue.

Had this vehicle for two years until a couple of weeks ago. I was on a small gravel road and I rolled it. I escaped with nothing more than a few scratches. The vehicle retained its shape even after rolling multiple times. The strength and qaulity of this vehicle probably saved my life. Very save SUV. More than makes up for the mediocre gas mileage.

  • Great First Vehicle! Proud Owner - 1998 GMC Suburban

I was handed down the Suburban from my parents 2 years ago when I turned 16, my parents bought the 2006 Denali XL. I love this truck! It is so fun to drive everywhere, I love taking my friends around. The gas mileage is good, the 44 gallon tank helps a lot, but not at the pump($160 everytime, but lasts forever!) This truck has been nothing but reliable and strong for us. Only fix was the fuel pump went out at 120,000. It has been through towing the 7000lb camper everywhere. I am still debating on if I ever want to replace it. I want to run it till it dies, its at 125,000 now. I say to people I drive a tank, and it is. The Ford Excursion may be bigger, but not all metal like mine!

  • I love my getting out of trouble suv - 1994 GMC Suburban

I bought my truck used with 200,000 miles on it, besides tires it has been a dream come true. I have four boys and they always have friends, it gives plenty of room. For the first time I have room enough for anything. Whenever someone gets stuck they call me I can pull anything. I live in a place where the snow get deep, I even get calls from the plow truck for a pull every once in a while. I love my truck, never again will I buy a car!

I love this SUV. Best Ive ever owned. I have a 6 inch lift and 35s. It reliable and comfortable. The only problem is I go through 2 sets of brakes a year, thank goodness for lifetime warranty pads. Plenty of room for camping and ballgames. Pulls 5 quads easily. Rear air is great.

With some mods it is by far the best vehicle you can own. Installed rims with bigger back spacing to eliminate some of body roll and make clearence for 14 inch aftermarket rotors and callipers. I replaced exaust amd installed ram air intake, electric fan, throtle spacer and performance chip to increase fuel milage, end result being avg 23mpg mixed city hwy driving. The truck has 135000 miles on it and besides the mods the only thing changed was the fuel pump. Verry reliable and strong engine good body and after nine years still no rust.

  • The Ultimate Hauler - 1992 GMC Suburban
    By -

Love everything about my 1992 Suburban except putting gas in it. I purchased this truck because I work for a parrot and wild bird rescue on weekends and needed the room. So far, there hasnt been anything I cant fit in it...people, large cages...Ive had it through some trails on our property that our 4x4 Kaboda has trouble with and have yet to be pulled out. Absolutly no reliability issues as of yet...I prefer this engine to the newer Vortec engine with the troublesome intakes. If you dont mind $130.00 fill-ups, its the ultimate hauler!

My 92 Suburban was in my family, a family member gave it to me. It was pretty well taken care of except for the fact he barely drove it, so some rust accumilated. It has the great 5.7 liter, which isnt too good on gas. Also, the 42 gallon tank is very unforgiving. Ill put in $40 in gas, and the needle barely moves, but whatever it is really fun to drive. My exhaust was falling off so I put in a performance LMC truck dual ehaust system, which sounds great, and was only $20 more than a stock style system. I also put in a new stereo, and speakers because the one it came with didnt work. If you take care of this truck, it will work great.

I originally bought a 2wd 88 Suburban for house projects and hauling. I found that this vehicle is actually fun to drive. I looked for the last model year for the best features and settled on this 91 GMC Suburban. The former owner took very good care of it. I love this truck. With the second row folded down, there is almost nothing that I cant haul.

  • It was my baby! - 1994 GMC Suburban

I loved driving my truck. I drove it everywhere. I drove it from Texas to Kentucky which is 1,016 miles. I drove it from Kentucky to South Carolina which is 600 miles round trip. I loved the style of it. I loved every thing about it. Something went wrong with the front passenger side tie rods, bearings, rotaries or something cause it caused me to swirve, hit a ditch and roll. For some reason it would not come back to the left. I just came out of a right hand turn and the front passenger wheel just woudnt come back to the left for me to straighten back out in my lane.
