Pretty Goode - 2000 Ford Windstar
By brkluy - December 5 - 10:00 amI have had a 5 different windstars since 98. I get one for a company car and buy one for a personal car every few years. I have had very few problems. I currently own a 2000 and have a company van 2002. I put around 30K per year on my company van. I has never left me stranded. As far as my personal van, it has rarely been in the shop.

00 Windstar Se - 2000 Ford Windstar
By lionheart730 - October 17 - 2:00 amHave great acceleration compare with my 01 Taurus. Better space than my previous 95 Exploder. New tires and the vehicle starts shaking at high speeds especially at very low speed. Grille started peeling off. I hope to get lucky with this one like with my 95 Exploder. I sold it with over 214K mile in it and still running strong.

Not very impressed - 2000 Ford Windstar
By Not very impressed - June 22 - 2:00 amAt first I loved the van but then it started. 1st the back speakers started going out. Dealer said the pins just needed buffed. Next, check engine light started coming on & eventually going off. Now it goes on everyday after work. Another known problem w/ no resolution. I still have the speaker issue & 1000 miles after warranty, my trans went costing me $$. Mechanics claimed it was a common error and do not understand why Ford does not cover/recall on the issue.(not big enough issue to recall) I have learned to live with my problems. I am ready to buy a new van. I know my next van will not be a Ford (1st time in 15 years I have not bought Ford)

been very good so far... - 2000 Ford Windstar
By gillyman32 - June 12 - 2:00 amHas been very reliable people mover so far. Only had to replace one tie rod under warranty, probably from hitting big potholes. Transmission has been fine. To avoid problems I recommend changing trans fluid every 36,000 miles or so just to be safe. Great van for trips and hauling stuff.

love the windstar - 2000 Ford Windstar
By whitesatin - January 29 - 12:23 amleasing a 2000 windstar LX w/dual air and quad seats. Love the room in this vehicle. Ride is smooth and seats are comfortable. We take out the passenger seat so that entry into the back is easy in, and easy out, even for grandparents. We did however have to replace the rack/n pinion at about 20,000 miles. It was makeing a horrible whining noise. Thank God it was under warranty. This is our second lease for the windstar. Moving on to the third in the spring of 2002.

My Windstar - 2000 Ford Windstar
By Ron J - August 11 - 2:00 amI really enjoy driving this Van. It is a very comfortable ride and the engine has good get up and go. The only drawbacks are the middle seats are too close to the doors, so it is difficult to get in the back(this was supposedly corrected in the 2002 model. Ive had some minor problems(so far) with the electronic passanger sliding door and front passanger door lock. Otherwise, I love this Van.
