  • Great car for the $ - 1995 Ford Probe

I have put over 60,000 miles on my car with no problems what so ever. The doors shut tight, the engine purrs to the point I try to restart it at intersections. Performance and driving are wonderful for the price. I would highly recomend....

  • Really fast: High reliability - 1995 Ford Probe

Car handles great, looks good, and has alot of power. It costs A LOT to repair, but it is worth the money.

  • Still driving my Probe! - 1995 Ford Probe

I have owned my Probe since I bought it new in 1995, now has 91,000 miles. Have had some problems with the idling and had to have the air intake manifold gasket replaced. Other than that, just brakes and tires and routine maintenance.

I bought my Probe Gt with an auto trans. I had it for 5 months and went through 7 transmissions other then that it was fun to drive. fast and handling is really good. that car is worth the money.

  • Neat car, but ages poorly - 1995 Ford Probe

Bought her used, had her for 2.5 years now. I really love driving her, and up till now, i have had few problems rotors, battery, stuff like that at about $100 a pop, and not too frequent. But last month, I had to replace the whole transmission at 87,000 mi - cost me $2100 to do it! Now, shes giving me trouble starting in the morning, and it could be the Idle Air Control (IAC is $600 to replace), or the Mass Air-flow Sensor (MAF is $800 to replace). I dont know which, and it could be neither, and something less expensive but I am bracing myself for the worst! Im afraid as much as I like her, I could not recommend to others to buy this car.

  • Awesome car - 1995 Ford Probe

This is a great car. Great looking and fun to drive. I wish they hadnt stop making it. The interior could be more durable and it is expensive to fix.

  • Great if you have $$$ - 1995 Ford Probe

Sharp looking car but too expensive for basic repairs. Driver seat is extremely comfy but passenger seat is not. Not a good family car. My 95 is still peppy. Just sunk over 1.5K into brakes and exhaust. Key entries had to all be replaced??? Weird things go on this car and they are outrageously expensive. Other than that - GREAT CAR! DEPENDABLE and good on gas.

  • Perfect car! - 1995 Ford Probe

    Perfect car . . . . . .

  • Has been a great car! - 1995 Ford Probe

Parts are very expensive if you go to Ford. Buy parts from your local parts store or go to a local repair shop. Automatic transmission is likely to fail around 100,000 miles sometimes more sometimes less. In my 3 yrs of ownership, I have replaced oxygen sensors, 2 CV boots, and 1 brake caliper. Other than that it runs like a swiss clock.
