Overview & Reviews
The Freestar is an all-new minivan that replaces Ford's aged Windstar. Recognizing the increased competition in this segment, the company has incorporated must-haves like a fold-flat third-row seat, rear DVD entertainment system and a power liftgate, while adding new items like side curtain airbags that cover all three rows of seating and an available large-displacement V6 for hauling heavy loads.
- Plenty of safety and convenience features, sharp interior design, torquey V6 engines.
- Unimpressive fuel economy numbers, less horsepower than top competitors.

Best ever - 2004 Ford Freestar
By seller - August 12 - 2:00 amGreat van for the do everything family. Sound systen is awesome, as well as the overall comfort of the van. Ford really did their homework on this model.Great engine with the 4.2 litre, it actually drives like a car! The power side doors with synchronized turn signals on the mirror are great for dropping the kids off for school or anywhere.

The Best keeps getting Better - 2004 Ford Freestar
By Lenny722 - February 11 - 10:00 amThis is the second Ford minivan I have purchused and I feel safe on the highway and around the city. Confort is outstanding for a minivan along with a quite tight ride better then any other minivan. The look of the 2004 Freestar stands apart from the sameold bullet looking style of other minivans, It looks in a class of its own with stylish body sculpturing, headlighting all in a hermeticly attractive look. I feel proud driving the Ford Freestar and take advantage of any chance to show it off, But that is something that Freestar does well by itself.

Nice Van - 2004 Ford Freestar
By boa49 - July 7 - 10:00 amI just bought this vehicle, but I love it! Fuel economy could be better, but otherwise it is perfect for my needs and I got it for much less than the competition due to the included rebates and my companys Ford Partner X-plan.

comparing 2000 windstar/ 2004 freestat - 2004 Ford Freestar
By miro kubala - June 1 - 10:00 amOur new 2004 freestar is much quieter and the 4.2 liter power plant is much more reponsive than the 3.8 engine of our2000 windstar. The instrument cluster is much nicer in the freestar and the fold down rear seats will eliminate many hernia operations
