Check the docking fee, which is a joke for consumers, thatt a mark-up for dealers. Also the taxes and everything else before buying.

Transmission is awful. Grinding and shaking is called normal by Ford service. Noisy pumps are also considered normal. I tried to save a few bucks and buy American but this will keep me from ever buying a Ford again. Comfort on long trips is lacking as well. Parking brake is positioned just in the wrong place and digs into right leg.

  • My 2nd Focus in 10 years - WOW! - 2016 Ford Focus

I had a 2007 Focus SE Hatchback and just purchased a 2016 Focus SE Hatchback two weeks ago. I really liked the first one, but this one is an entirely different animal. Ford kept the best of the previous models and managed to add a whole collection of improvements. I opted for the Stick Shift with the SE Luxury Package- -Rear Disc Brakes, Leather, Fog Lamps, LED Running Lights, 17" alloys and upgraded stereo system. Handling for the Focus has always been a hallmark of the model, but Ford managed to improve it. After driving it nearly 1200 miles, all I can say is WOW! What a difference 9 years made in the level of refinement. Quieter, more powerful, awesome handling and shifting, and lots of nifty features like Traction Control, Hill Assist and a Back up Camera. Its like Ford actually got in my head when I was driving the last car and got the wish list of items I had for that vehicle and added them for my next purchase. I will say that Stick Shift Models are somewhat hard to find - My dealership rep took 3 weeks to get one in with the specs that I provided him with. Cons: Tight back seat, Tall gearing in Final drive.

  • Awesome, versatile car - 2016 Ford Focus

I am very happy with my 2016 Ford Focus and have been since the day I bought it. As someone who commutes to school, work, and various other places in a given day, this car is perfect for someone who is looking for a great car for them to commute in; easy to get in and out of parking spots, a breeze to parallel park in, decent gas mileage, and all that jazz. My only complaint is that the button on the emergency break gets "weird" and gets stuck on the occasion, but that is it. The radio and bluetooth have cooperated with me and have not caused me any issues, and out of the 5 months I have had it, it has never needed to be taken into the shop (I drive a considerable amount every day). Also, I recommend this car to someone running on the shorter side- I am only about 53", so this car is easy to get in and out of from the drivers seat, but other taller family members of mine have required a bit more effort getting swiftly in and out of it despite adjusting the seat.

Go to a place where the sales people know their product and are willing to take the time to explain the vehicle to you. This is the first time I purchased a Ford product and I had a good sales person who took the time to discuss the vehicle and show many of the things that make it a great vehicle. I find the rear view camera to be a great asset and the car is comfortable to ride in, but a little difficult to get into, but in time I am sure that I will adjust to it.

  • They fixed the transmission perfectly on these. - 2016 Ford Focus

No more off-line hesitancy or stuttering from the automatic transmissions of these new Focuses. Ford FINALLY fixed that multi-year problem for good. The new one here is silky-smooth. Of course the rest of the car was already competitive, and a great value during rebate time. Watch for aggressive small-car promotions from Ford to maintain their corporate average fuel economy in light of their booming truck and SUV sales. Theyre GIVING away Focuses and Fiestas.

  • Looked good.. - 2016 Ford Focus

Traded in my 2015 Focus SE (sometimes lagging downshift acceleration, poor stereo) for a 2016 Titanium Hatchback. Persistent pull or drift to the left at times exacerbated by braking. Had grey goo on my sunroof, broken piece of plastic found in glove box on unknown origin. Slight squeak upon starting, rattle in in right front, sunroof buttons too small to push, tire (hum) noise, drivers seat is power but the back will not independently recline (no lever), Sony stereo needs more precise mids & highs adjustments.

  • Great car - 2016 Ford Focus

I would have to say, the car is great. I have a SE Hatchback Focus Black with Black Leather. The only problem I have with the car is the lack of Horsepower/Torque. I have 160HP with 130T which is very little. I do have plans on upgrading, ut I will wait till the warranty is up. 3yrs 36000 miles and 60000 powertrain. All in all, I recommend this car. This car is soo much better than my last car. 2012 Ford Focus. I could name many reasons I really disliked my 2012 car. Might be woth adding, but im running out of room to write. FYI, Ford Focus cars are great if you steer clear of year 2013-2014 models due to Gearbox issues.

  • You get what you bargain for - 2016 Ford Focus

5 months in and 3 trips to the shop later. Got a call today saying one of the clutches for the dual clutch automatic transmission needs to be replaced. Such a disappointment for car that is only 5 months old. The transmission jerks like crazy, shifts are hard and loud. Really disappointed because the engine in this baby is full of life and gas mileage is great! Traded in an 01 Nissan Maxima with no problems to be left stranded while my new car gets repaired. Next time do your research before you make a big purchase.
