The Focus SFE is a Fuel Sipper - 2013 Ford Focus
By cadrvr4 - October 25 - 4:28 pmWe purchased a 2013 Ford Focus SFE in September 2012 and have driven it 1,200 miles so far. No problems at all. This model is a Focus with SE trim to which the optional SFE (Super Fuel Economy) package is added. For 2012 the SFE package cost $495. For 2013 the SFE package adds only $95 to the cost of the vehicle making the additional fuel savings over the SE a no-brainer. We recently got 42 MPG on 70-mile highway trip. 32-33 MPG is typical for our combined driving. The dual clutch transmission (DCT) drives like an automatic transmission but is actually a fuel-saving automated manual transmission. Great materials, inside and out: best in class. LLR tires by Continental handle very well.

Great Car - 2013 Ford Focus
By angel8050 - October 6 - 11:59 pmWhoever does not give this car at least 4 stars is a [non-permissible content removed]!!!!! We bought this Focus Sedan SE about a month ago, it gives me about 40 miles a gallon on the freeway driving at around 70 mph. I tried the jetta s, did not like it nor has any power, I had a 2011 Toyota Corolla and this focus is smoother than it. I think the new re design focus is a great buy!!! I would say the only bad thing is that sometimes at low speeds, when you first take off I think the transmission gets a little confused, but other than that its perfect. I love the sync, the bluetooth, the voice recognition.

I love my car - 2013 Ford Focus
By Tracy Riggin - October 17 - 11:17 amI find myself looking out at it or taking quick glances at it when I am at home...I researched a long time to locate the car I wanted, and I found it. at firs,t I didnt care about the color because I would have been happy with a few other choices, but the color is actually one of the things I like best about it. I chose a dark, sparkly pewter color. It looks understated and classy. The other thing I adore about it is the quiet drive. I can shut everything out and just drive...awesome!

Must get the standard transmission. - 2013 Ford Focus
By Sean - January 9 - 6:21 pmMatted to the 5 speed standard gearbox this car is an excellent "drivers car". The transmission is easy to shift and very smooth although not as refined as some European offerings. The car handles well and acceleration is excellent. This car was reading 165 WHP on a dyno- completely stock! Those are very impressive numbers for a car that is getting 30+ miles to the gallon and an excellent start if one was to consider tuning the vehicle. The interior feels like a much more expensive car than it really is. My only gripe is with the Ford My Touch System- it can be very frustrating and difficult to use at times- even three years after owning the car. Also, this car gets a lot of knocks because of the automatic transmission that most came with.. well if you cant row you own gears I dont feel bad for you. If your buying a 4 cylinder vehicle with an automatic transmission Im not really impressed with your decision making skills. A standard is always the better choice with a smaller engine.

I bought two of them. - 2013 Ford Focus
By Michael Drummonds - March 12 - 2:03 pmFor those who say dont buy this car, you are off the mark! All you have to do is take it to Ford to have the clutches replaced! I did on my wifes 2013 SE sedan at about 40k miles on it! We like this car so much, I bought a 2013 Certified Pre-Owned Focus SE Hatchback for my 18 year old daughter yesterday! The Sync system is second to none! To those who say, Dont buy a Ford, get over yourself! BTW, they both get 33 MPG in town and 41 MPG on highway. Again, second to none! Once you have the clutches done its a great car!
