I love everything about this car, It looks good rides nice and handles good. I get stopped and asked about my Ford 500 all the time! I would buy another in a heartbeat as long as it is the Limited Edition.

Purchased the SEL in March of 2006. Have yet to see 29 miles to the gallon. 24 at best. Vehicle has some type of wheel problem. theyve replaced links and flushed steering column (no idea why). However, the problem with the wheel - persistent steering wheel shakes and the noise is so loud I have to turn my radio up just to hear it. Not the car I bought back in March. Computer odometer seems to be off will have them look at that as well.

I test drove one of these before buying mine and loved it. Mine has been excellent except for the brake problem and the fact it is underpowered. I found the gas mileage to be better than expected, but I actually compute it the old-fashioned way with pencil and paper. If you subtract the ending miles from the beginning and divide by the actual gallons used per the gas pump, you will see that your mileage is significantly better than the computer shows. I dont know why. I live in the country and get 23-25 running around and 25-27 on trips, using regular gas. I dont like the look of the 2008, but will try one when the time comes. Long time relationship with this great dealer.

  • Tremendous Value and Comfort - 2006 Ford Five Hundred

This car is comfortable, handles well, and is a tremendous winter car in Canada. It is bascially a Volvo S80 in disguise. Where else can you get huge interior space, a technologically advanced drive train, AWD and a CVT for this price. The only knock on the car is rapid depreciation. Since I own my cars for a long time, this is not an issue for me. I love it and would buy it again.

  • Ford hit a home run with the 500 - 2006 Ford Five Hundred

Excellent mileage, over 30 if you stay below 65. With a 20 gal tank thats one gas stop a week for me and I love it. Interior is sweet and comfortable, every control and surface has excellent feel and for me the stereo is better than my home system. It plays my MP3 CDs so I pack up the 6 disc player and never look back. Good bye radio, who needs ya. Handling is also excellent in all weather with just FWD, which added to the fuel economy.

I have own this car for 7 months and I love it. The excellent mileage and the comfort of the seating speaks volumes for the Ford engineers. All of the new amenities show Ford is committed to providing cars American can be proud of.

I bought the Limited. This is truly a great car. Fuel economy is impressive, especially on the highway. Getting over 30mpg. I love the CVT transmission and build quality. A lot of car for the money.

I like my new 500 very much. The only complaint I have with it is the trunk. Although the trunk is huge and holds lots it is not flat and the edge around the inside of the trunk takes up valuable space. For example, I had a Taurus and the trunk was flat. The 500 with the edge or lip around the trunk will not allow me to store things like i did in the taurus. Otherwise, I like it greatly.

  • Excellent Car - 2006 Ford Five Hundred

My husband and I just purchased the Limited FWD and we love it. We traded in our Pathfinder suv. This car blows away any car I have ever owned. I have two car seats in the back and have more room than I had with the suv. The interior is beautiful and the outside looks both strong and elegant. My husband loves the 18 inch Pirelli tires; they look good on this sedan. The command seating is great, especially if previous car was an suv. This is a great family car. It has tons of space inside and out. Ford did a great job. Now there really is no reason to buy a foreign car.

  • 2006s Most Underrated Car - 2006 Ford Five Hundred

This car is really fun to drive, and is roomy beyond belief. Sort of feels like youre driving an SUV, but its a sedan. Great on gas too!
