  • Cute Car, Needs some things addressed. - 2011 Ford Fiesta

I test drove this car and have decided to put off my purchase till they get some things fixed, see below and I drove the automatic (dual clutch). The car handles well and is very quiet. 1. Please use some heavier moldings where the windshield meets the hood, those on each should be molded plastic instead of soft rubber. 2. Eliminate the crazy/strange striping (piping) on the cloth seat options. 3. Cruise and a nicer (more wattage please) radio should come standard on the SE. 4. Please fix the random jerking of the dual clutch trans and the sometimes unwillingness of the car to downshift. Also 3200-3300 RPM at 70 mph is a bit high. (the trans needs a better warranty)/Needs armrest.

  • Solid but not stellar - 2011 Ford Fiesta

3,000 miles into my ownership experience, I have found my Fiesta to be OK. Exterior styling is fine-most heard comment is "cute" On the interior, love the front seats but the back seat leg room is inadequate. No center armrest and somewhat spartan with the SE trim level (no cruise control for instance) Ride is comfortable but already hearing some squeaks from interior trim at higher speeds. Acceleration is what you would expect from a car in this class. Gas Mileage has been 35 mpg with a 60/40 highway/city split. Nice little commuter car but not totally in love.

  • 5 Things I Love & Hate About This Car - 2011 Ford Fiesta
    By -

I Love: 1. The Gas Mileage (29 city/ 38 highway) 2. The Price ($19,000 with all packages) 3. The Features (heated seats, interior lighting, Sirius xm, push-to-start ignition, hands-free phone mode, temperature control, leather covered steering wheel, etc.) 4. The design (lights, body, interior are all stylish, no road noise) 5. The stock security system I Hate: 1. That there are no stock arm rests 2. There are very limited Sedan models out on the market 3. how the stock shifting knob is plastic 4. The hands-free device doesnt always recognize the voice commands you give it 5. the stock seats have a weird design printed on them.

  • Powershift Automatic Transmission Failed - 2011 Ford Fiesta
    By -

Lime Squeeze Green color is attention getting. Automatic transmission failed at 660 miles while on a road trip from Arizona to California. Transmission apparently is brand-new to Ford in the USA and Ford dealer in Riverside, CA didnt know how to fix it properly. Called Ford Zone Customer Service and filed complaint. A brand new vehicle should not required a complete transmission replacement at 660 total miles.

  • Buena Fiesta! - 2011 Ford Fiesta

I love the little car! Its a blast to drive, it parks like a mini, handles like a go-kart and (as my wife says) it looks cute. So here is my breakdown: Pros: Performance (Ford nailed it with the DCT transmission. The dual clutch really wakes up the little powerplant and makes you feel like you have some real horses under the hood, plus you dont have the "shift lag" of a normal automatic - I was leaning toward the manual, until I drove the automatic - get the latter) Fuel Economy (Ive gotten 34 combined hwy and city, and I tend to drive fast - ok, too fast) Price (its a great car at an affordable price. That said, it is really an entry-level car, dont expect Mercedes-level features)

  • Very nice but needs some obvious changes - 2011 Ford Fiesta
    By -

Overall a very nice car but it could have just been simply amazing with just a few simple and small things to change it. Its a shame really but still a good car. Just sad to see something that could have been amazing reduced to just good when it is so easy to do the few small things

  • The Truth About My Fiesta - 2011 Ford Fiesta
    By -

The Fiesta is as you have no doubt read, fun to drive. It loves to turn and go around corners and I have had no trouble weaving in and out of Chicago traffic. If you have had SYNC before, you know its quirks, that is all Ill say about that. The stereo is fantastic, much better than the SONY system in my Fusion. The hatch allows you to shove a lot in and the back seats are big enough for smaller people. Many people have written about how quiet the car is, this is not true. The road noise inside this car is tremendously loud, my convertible was quieter with the top down than this thing. If the road noise does not ruin it for you the seats will, they are the worst part of the car.

  • So far, an excellent vehicle. - 2011 Ford Fiesta

Lease was up on my BMW 335. My better half got to choose the car this time: The Fiesta. Surprisingly enough, this car has some of the same features as the BMW (not just tires, bumpers...) heated leather seats, heated mirrors, keyless ignition, etc. The Sync system is very versatile and informative. The instrument cluster and dash layout are intuitive, though the Sync has a bit of a learning curve. The car does not drive as well as the BMW, but it takes road bumps at least as well (thank you BMW run flats). Except for the vast amount of space you get with the Fit, the Fiesta outperforms that vehicle in every way. The Fiesta is very quiet when compared to the Fit which is ridiculously loud.

Car handles well on curves. Accelerates nicely but needs a little more oomph. Gearing is a little awkward, the dual clutch transmission is a little jumpy going from first to second then down to first gear as if its trying to find the right gear ratio at speed. Emergency braking is excellent.
