Very small car great on gas good for intercity driving car has cost me more money than what its worth I am a mechanic and the issues that I am seeing with this transmission worries me really looking forward to trading this in due to the mechanical issues not worth the money.

Dont do it. I bought one and I cant even resell because of the Notorious transmission and its defects.

  • Absolute garbage car - 2011 Ford Fiesta

Im not sure why the highlighted review indicates 4+ out of 5 stars. I bought this care used with 11.000 miles, previously owned by an 84 year old lady. It shuddered so badly that it would reverberate your voice when talking. Its shifting sounds like a tool box rolling down concrete stairs. It accelerates slower than the 18 wheeler I drive for a living. Please dont buy this car, it will be more than a regret and a gigantic headache.

  • IT TRIED TO KILL ME, TWICE!! - 2011 Ford Fiesta

You are taking your life in your hands when you buy this car! Not to mention the drivers around you. This car, a.k.a. killer should be on a recall list NOW! This "car" stalled on me, had it "fixed" and today (3 months later), I was almost ran over by an 18 wheeler because it stalled in heavy traffic. Luckily, both time I was able to roll off the road within seconds of my life. It is now at a Ford dealer, and with any luck,Ill be re-united with this piece of crap in 3 months, yes 3 months! I finally got them to let me have a loaner car since I have to travel to my doctor. How nice of them! I have contacted every agencies I could find and reported this car. If somebody hasnt died yet while driving this car....they will soon. Just pray it doesnt take some other poor drivers and their families with them. Ford has to step up NOW!.

  • Do Not Buy one of these!!!!! - 2011 Ford Fiesta

I purchased my Fiesta new in 2011. The auto clutch and transmission have been a NIGHTMARE!!!! It is again at the dealership (day 9 right now) with transmission issues. This is the 4th time in 4 years that it has had the transmission and auto clutch worked on!!!

  • Should be recalled, a real lemon - 2011 Ford Fiesta
    By -

I bought this car 3 months ago used with 39000 miles on it. It has a 6 speed automatic transmission. 2 weeks after I bought it Ford sent me a letter stating the this model was having transmission issues and if it broke they would fix it for free. The transmission went out at 42000 miles and now Ford tells me they have 32000 parts on back order and I wont get it back for at least 12 weeks. This is my first and last Ford I will ever buy. I would like to trade it in but it apparently lost a lot of value in the short time I have owned it due the the transmission issue. What a joke. This car should be recalled and is a true lemon.

  • LEMON DO NOT BUY - 2011 Ford Fiesta
    By -

I purchased a 2011 Ford Fiesta in August of 2010. It is an automatic, not manual transmission. Within a month it was back at Ford with transmission issues and has continued to have problems despite at least 10 trips to the Ford Shop. I was told by Ford Engineer that it must be the way I was driving it. They felt I was breaking with my left foot with my foot not completely off the gas. I do not break with my left foot. I just had it voluntarily repossessed as I cannot in good conscious sell it to somebody. This was after the New Car Lemon Law process and denied, I offered to walk away from it and have the dealer resell it and laughed at for being upside down when asked to trade it in.

  • LEMON! LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST FORD FOR TRANSMISSION CONCERNS - 2011 Ford Fiesta
    By -

By far the worst investment Ive ever made. Ive literally lost track of how many times Ive taken in this car for the transmission (Its actually in the shop right now and has been for over a month because there is such a high demand for these parts, they went on a national backorder!!) I filed a lawsuit with a lemon law attorney about a year ago. Ford offered me a settlement of $6,000 but I countered and they refused. The judge approved a mediation hearing and its scheduled for the end of this month. Cant wait to get my money back and get rid of this thing! Anyone thinking about investing in this POS, save yourself the time, money and headache.

  • DO NOT BUY! - 2011 Ford Fiesta

I might as well copy and paste the many comments I on here as mine as the same. Weve had the car for a year and all of the same issues are happening - transmission or clutch system replaced, shifting issues, been in the shop, going back in now because it just wont turn over - it is like owning a wind up toy. BUY FOREIGN CARS ONLY! AMERICAN VEHICLES...AND I HAVE OWNED A FEW...SUCK!!! My 2007 Hyundai has been a great car. [non-permissible content removed.]

  • Horrible Car - 2011 Ford Fiesta
    By -

Why are there no reviews of this vehicle since July 2011?? Why does nearly every post mention significant problems with the vehicles transmission, including complete replacement in less than 5,000 miles yet all the reviews give the car 3 stars?? Overal rating 4 stars?? I bought this car for my 18 year old daughter. Ford has already replaced the transmission once for the same issues being reported by many other owners. Now they are trying to say the grinding noizses and extremely rough shifting is "normal". Do not buy this car.
