This is a very good truck. I only have the 4.6L V8 but the performance is still good. I get 22 MPG with mixed city and highway driving with the a/c on! I was never a fan a ford but now i own one ill never go back. This truck even with only 2WD can go anywhere i ask it too. I dont go off roading but I have taken it a few places other trucks would have gotten stuck.

This is the best, hardest working, most dependable work truck I have ever had. I have 129,000mi on it with only one repair, which was a new clutch kit.

This has been a great truck. It replaced my 1986 when it was totaled in a collision. The 96 did have a transmission replacement at 66000mi but otherwise great. The 7.5 engine does best with a bigger exhaust system.

  • Great Truck For The $$$$ - 1992 Ford F-250

Bought this truck to tow my familys 20ft ATV trailer on weekend outings. Fully loaded were only pulling a little over 3,000 lbs. and you can hardly tell its back there. The 7.5 liter V-8 consistently gets 8-10 mpg but I really didnt expect any better. We just rolled over 100K miles and Im thinking this trucks good for another 100K. We did just have to replace the U-joints and put brakes on it but I consider that normal maintenance.

The truck is great. The mileage is lousy but it makes up for it in the power and torque.

  • Solid Truck - 1997 Ford F-250

No major problems (yet). Mine has the small v8 with tow package so it is slow going up hills with a trailer. At 100k miles transmission is starting to have rough shifts when cold. Havent done much towing or city driving and it has a cooler as part of the tow package. Original Goodyear tires lasted 92k miles! Still on original disk brake pads at 108k miles. Best truck I have owned.

  • Good Work Truck - 1995 Ford F-250

We purchased our 95 F250 a year or two ago and have been impressed with its performance, even under heavy stress. We normally tow a 16 trailer, and sometimes haul heavy loads like bricks or other building materials. The 460 engine always starts well and has lots of power and torque for being a fairly primitive engine design. Fuel economy is usually anywhere from 9 mpg city/12 mpg highway, depending on the load and wind conditions, so the fuel bill leaves somewhat to be desired! The only trouble it has given us is some rear brake problems, cheap interior plastic parts, and some issues with the clutch linkage. Otherwise, its been a solid, reliable work truck.

  • An excellent truck - 1996 Ford F-250

I am the original owner. This truck has lived up to its makers name ... Ford Tough. The brake problems that plagued earlier models is gone. This truck has no rattles. It pulls and pulls. I have the original batteries and they are still good. I have carried 4000 lbs in the back with no problem. I highly recommend this as a work truck for anyone as it has been reliable. The only repairs I have done are a starter relay, brakes, shocks, and glow plug relay. Thats it!
