I purchased this vehicle from a guy in Alabama last year. This truck is an awesome ride. I use it to pull a large covered lawn trailer, and was pulling a 10x8 motocross trailer when I first bought it. It pulls like crazy, and will go through anything in the woods. I have had it in 3 feet of water in a swamp and you wouldve thought you were on I-10. The only thing that I had a problem with, was the front seal on the tranny. Other than that the truck has been 100% reliable.

Original owner for 12 years. Works fine, lasts a long time.

Ive owned my 1991 F250HD for 12 years now. I use it primarily for hauling building supplies & firewood, and winter (snow) driving. I take this work horse back on the logging trails deep within the forest in the mountainous regions of the Sierra Nevadas. The engine is so powerful you dont realize you have an extremely heavy load. The brakes are undersized for this capacity, especially if you are decending from the higher elevations and using the brakes regularly.

  • Not too bad - 1990 Ford F-250

I was ripped off when I bought the car (seller said it only had 75,000 miles, it actually had 175,000). Still, it had performed extremely well with minimal repairs despite rigorous abuse. The performance with the 7.5L is very nice, if youre willing to sacrifice gas mileage. The only major complaint is the idiotic electrical system. Every conceivable item has an individual ground that is connected to random bits of the frame. Really shoddy.

  • F250 4X4 SC HD LB DIESEL - 1997 Ford F-250

Great truck. Ive had a lot of trucks in my business, many Fords. My experience has always been a big truck with a little engine and lots of gears. Poor power to weight and constant shifting. The Navistar DIT diesel is definetly the way to go with a truck. When the turbo spools up, theres no catching it. Itll pull a house off the foundation and gets good mileage (for a truck) as well. There are plenty of chatrooms for Q & A on this setup if you have a problem, and the guys will give you lots of responses to keep it going.

  • Heavy Duty Diesel - 1997 Ford F-250

Ive had a little trouble with the capacitor on the diesel. However, Ford has a 3rd generation capacitor that is now reliable. I added a leaf all around to raise the truck, rather than using a lift kit.Happy with the results. This truck is extremely reliable and will do anything and get me anywhere. Put 265 tires on it right away. Plastic trim on the inside of the XLT is fragile Rear seat is ok, although weve had teenagers sit in the back across the country twice. If you get a diesel, get the manual transmission. You get the great advantage of using engine compression off-road and in poor road conditions.

  • Short bed 7.3 crew cab - 1996 Ford F-250

Wifes truck to haul travel and horse trailers, and run around to dog shows from FL to WI. She didnt know she would love it so much. No engine mechanical problems after 210,000 mi. One bad door light switch and one elec. window only real problems to date. Still reliable for her to take long trips. May replace at 300K w/4x4 diesel long bed crew cab.

this vehicle spent the winters in the south so it did not come in contact with snow and salt. the owner was a trained diesel mechanic and had a reputation for excellent maintenance on his vehicles.

I use this truck for pulling 90% of the time and it will pull anything. With its 351cc. and low end torque its a powerhouse!
