Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

This truck is wonderful. While I havent had it for much more than 3 months I can say its better than I expected and I had high expectations. I got the 5.4 Lariat FX4 and the power is fantastic, the offroad abilities are surprisingly good and the comfort is fantastic. The truck is quiet and solid.

Good power at all speeds, brakes too spongy, interior very roomy, ride comfortable.

I have driven many differnet trucks but I always come back to Ford, man they did an outstanding job with this truck, 300 HP is plenty for anyone that knows trucks, 365 torque is where its at. It drives awesome like driving a car, 4wd in the snow is great. Think this maybe my last truck for some years to come, very happy

  • Love this truck... Hate the fuel economy! - 2007 Ford F-150

I purchased this truck to pull my horse trailer - I love it! The outside styling is great, very sleek and sharp looking. Rides smooth and quiet all the time, and rides comfortable! I tried to work with GM on either a Sierra or Silverado and no dealership would work with me so I ended up w/ a Ford by default and Im not sorry! I really like this truck! Fuel economy stinks compared to GMs that Ive seen - I get about 13 MPG compared to almost 20 MPG on GM trucks that friends own. Inside storage is okay, although there is a small storage compartment under the radio and its useless - very shallow and everything falls out of it. Overall, I like this truck a lot and would buy another.

  • This is the best vehicle ever!!!! - 2010 Ford F-150

I looked and drove all of the full size trucks in the full four door category. The F150 Super Crew is second to none. This truck rides better than any car I have ever owned. You get a car like ride, and then have the toughness of a truck. Please stop by your Ford dealer and ask for the DVD on the 2010 Truck models and watch before you make any decisions. You will see the difference, both inside and out.

Compared 5.4L V8 XLT 4x4 with Silverado Z71 package. So far I am really pleased with the Ford. Even with large side mirrors, there is little wind noise for this class. Steering is responsive and not numb. Relatively little body lean in turns for a large truck. Even though I go fishing and haul stuff, we also use the truck for everyday stuff like going to the store. Anchors for toddler seat are easily reached and not buried deep in backseat. Took advantage of Ford Family plan and got truck for $5K under invoice (after rebate) and much cheaper than Expedition 4x4.

  • Great Pick-up - 1996 Ford F-150

Just recently purchased this vehicle. Quite simply, the 302 with 3.55s and 32 inch tires is gutless. Dont expect to tow much. That being said, I have nearly 200,000 miles on this truck and she runs perfect. Shes even been in a wreck and still is rock solid. All mechanical aspects perform flawlessly (altho Im a Chevrolet guy, so the Mazda manual transmission is a bit tricky for what Im used to). Beautiful, high-quality vehicle. Besides for the lack of power, the only other problem is if youre anything less than 6 feet tall (Im barely 6 foot) youll have a heck of a time reaching the pedals yet still being comfortable (my Girlfriend cant drive her). Overall, for me, a 9+ rating!

  • Base model is a great value - 2008 Ford F-150

Truck seems very sturdy and strong. Drives easily and smoothly. Quiet except for slight wind noise around small rear doors and only when very windy outside. This truck w/o all the costly bells and whistles is exactly what we wanted -- i.e. it cost less than many high mileage used trucks we looked at, is very comfortable, has the long bed with high sides, and has some storage space behind seat. Also, seats can be reclined slightly.

  • Easy Choice for New Truck...Ford is #1 - 2008 Ford F-150

The styling, the comfort, the handling, the ride, the sound system, the power is all perfect for a pickup. I test drove Chevys, Dodges, and the Toyota and the Ford beat them out every time! Best truck by far! The GM products dont even compare in the looks/trim department the Toyota is very cheap looking, and the Dodge wasnt even close to the other three in any category! I spent lots of time driving all of these trucks and easily a simple decision. When it comes to value, comfort, appearance, ride, its hands down the F150. Plus my wife looks great standing next to it!
