Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

  • Tough as nails - 1996 Ford F-150

I unfortunately just had to trade this in. It was my first ever vehicle and very first truck. Had 230,000 miles but was still kicking strong. Never ever let me down. Every month I came home from college- 5 and 1/2 hour drive no problems. Had the 5.0L V8 and it was a beast. Sounded amazing with dual exhaust. Had four wheel drive which routinely got me through 2 feet of snow in a northern WI winter. routine repairs for a vehicle with so many miles, but never anything serious. I cried the day I let mine go, but with gas at 4 bucks a gallon and being a college student, I couldnt hold on it to anymore.

I bought the truck with 169,820. I put about 4200 mi on it since may 08. Gets about 20 hwy 15 cty, always starts, its very peppy. I put a cherrybomb on it and eventually I will put 265/75/16 on a 2wd. I hoping itll pay off in the winter. All in all great truck to own!

  • Excellent Truck - 1998 Ford F-150

I have had many Fords but this truck has been the best. Very very few repairs except those from wear and tear like oil change. I live in the woods so it gets a beating and holds up. I get about 21 mpg driving while my husband gets about 18 mpg with this truck. I truly love this truck and dont want to trade it in for a more fuel efficient vehicle!

  • Not bad if you like rust. - 2001 Ford F-150

We bought this truck new because we had a family and needed to haul horses too. It performed great! Never any problems but at about 5 years old we noticed the doors were rusting. Since wed purchased a lifetime rust protection warranty and had it inspected yearly we returned to the dealership who said they had no responsibility and should go to the company who made the rust inhibitor, although we purchased it through Ford. Nope, nobody claimed responsibility. At our car show we spoke with Ford reps and that got some action but they all claimed that after 5 years, they had no responsibility...although the truck only had 45,000 miles and was kept inside - always!

  • White FTX - 2016 Ford F-150

Had a great buying experience as usual at my local Ford dealership (Ray Skillman). My wife fell in love with our 2016 White Lariat FTX as soon as she drove it and I am afraid she is going to drive the wheels off it before the first year. All the bells and whistles you could ever need and looks great. The leveling kit and 6 inch lift forced me to change the trim on the garage door to get it in. I have only found one car wash that is able to take it because of the tire width. There are a few things that keep it from being the best F150 I have ever had. The Home Link wont work no matter how many times I try to get it to work. The door seals seem a little noisier than I am use to even though they dont leak. The V8 5.0 MPG sticker not even close which I knew wasnt going to be but would be nice if they were more honest about it.

  • The best truck ever - 2004 Ford F-150

In this truck I have pulled, and towed whatever have passed through my mind and in different situations. It does whatever I want her to do even with some pounds on her back. The inside, wow! I dont even have to talk about it, I think every truck owner has seen the inside of the new F-150, even Chevy guys, and I bet they were comparing it to their 10 years old style used in their little Chevy Silverado. Handling, perfect, I think Ford is the best honestly when it comes to ride and handling. The exterior, beautiful. The engine, just for what it was made of, hard work and dirt.

  • So far, so good, but... - 2006 Ford F-150

Very nice and comfortable truck. I love the formal exterior but it was the interior that eventually sold me. I have the tan leather and the flow-through console, and I love it! This truck drives very nice. The ride on the highway is firm, but not annoying, and despite this trucks large size, it is very manageable in town.

  • Nice truck - 2003 Ford F-150

This my first truck and I am sure glad its a Ford F-150. This has been 100% reliable and lives up to its built tough title. My truck will most likely be another Ford, if they can get the fuel efficiency up to that of the Toyota Tundra.

  • Good, dependable light truck - 2001 Ford F-150

Our F-150 has been a very good pickup and has been very reliable. It has only required one non-wear item repair and that was a burnt out spark plug coil. Otherwise it has been bulletproof. It has a 3.55 rear differential so it gets OK mileage (14/16). The 5.4 engine and drive train is very strong and it can pull much more than one would one expect. Snowmobiles, 20 ft boat, 38 ft rv trailer, bobcat on a flatbed, no problem. Just add electronic break controls, turn off the overdrive, and youre good to go. Its a great trip mobile too, but the gas bill gets a little high on long trips.

Bought this truck from original owner with 60k miles on it. It now has 215k and is like new! Other than ordinary maintenance, I put a new radiator in at 150k and an alternator at 195k. Heads have never been off. It just keeps running and everything works. Paint is unbelievable. People cant believe its 10 yrs old. I fully expect to get at least 250k from this completely stock 5.4L beauty.
