Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

  • Stay away from the 10 speed transmission!!!!! - 2017 Ford F-150

Biggest issue, this 1st gen 10 speed tranny causes a clunk noise to come from transfer case intermittently on startup. Ford Field Service Engineer calls it a "characteristic of this truck". Also, front camera of lane keeping system displays error messages. Dealership doesnt see the issue. Go to youtube and search for "Driveshaft clunking on engine start 3 level grade resting on brake" watch the driveshaft move and clunk.

  • Good strong truck - 2005 Ford F-150

Bought this truck because my other 150 has over 300,000 miles on it and I needed a new one. The engine on this truck is very strong. I dont really care for the electronic throttle control. Its rated at towing 9900 lbs but Ive pulled over 14,000 and it pulled it really well. Ive compared this truck with the GM truck and this truck seems to be better built. For example on my Suburban the doors are welded to the body and the weld has started to crack. Where as the Ford is bolted to the body frame. The transmission seems to be a little lose and that is supposed to be normal but it is a little annoying. Overall this is a great truck that has a good engine and is really a real truck.

  • Great Truck - 2007 Ford F-150

Great truck, I bought it as a work truck. (base model) Could not be happier. Im so glad I didnt spend the extra money for "features" not needed. The truck has been flawless.

  • Slightly modded, but was fine before. - 1997 Ford F-150

I own a 97 Ford F-150 XL Step-Side, 4.2L V6. Of course the V6 is lighter and quicker then the 4.6L I run all over 4.6s Tranny went out before I bought the truck, which suprised me, usually Ford trannys, especaily manuals are indestructible. Nothing at all has gone wrong with it other than that. I have 115,000 miles on it now. I installed a belltech 6" drop for better handling. Very tight turning radius. Very lightweight. And I get better mileage than my dads 4.6L. Very well built truck. Fun to drive, starts effortlessly every morning. I never worry about anything.

In over 16000 miles Ive had no problems with this truck. Add a few extras and its a beast.

  • Great truck - 2008 Ford F-150

Beautiful truck for 32,500.  I wanted a working truck and wanted another 4x4 Lariat, the king ranch was the same price as my 7 yr old Lariat.

  • Disappointed - 2008 Ford F-150

This is my third Ford and I am somewhat disappointed. The truck itself is beautiful and stylish. The ride is smooth and the interior is the best IÂ’ve ever seen in a truck. The truck also does what it was designed to do. However the truck does not perform well on the freeway. The 4.6L V-8 engine is not powerful enough for a vehicle this size. When I press the accelerator there is almost no response. Its like the engine is telling me I going to take my sweet time getting on the freeway and if I feel like it I may pass this vehicle. IÂ’m not a speed demon, but I expect my vehicles to respond. Overall itÂ’s a nice truck.

  • Exceeded my expectations - 2015 Ford F-150

The truck has the base 3.5L V-6 and the acceleration is quite good and overall fuel economy is 20-21 mpg! It is the XL trim level with manual windows and locks. For vinyl seats they are very comfortable. The power steering gives a good feel of the road and the brakes are awesome. I love the telescoping/tilt steering wheel, great idea. I like the blind spot side view mirrors, they are quite nice! The rear seats are roomy enough but nowhere near the crew cab. Plenty of room for groceries and moderate size items. The gauge cluster is useful and easy to read.

  • I loved this truck - 1998 Ford F-150

My 98 Ford F-150 2WD regular cab manual V6 has been a true champ. I have almost 150,000 miles on it and it is still running strong. This was the first truck that I bought new and was worth every penny. Unfortunately with two little ones, I have to let ole blue go. Im going with another Ford though (06 Crew Cab). This was one tough and special truck!

  • Right On! - 2004 Ford F-150

This is one awesome truck! As a matter of fact you tend to forget youre in a truck! Ride is by far the best all around. Ive driven them all because thats what I do for a living; nothing compares to what this machine does for you. Many onlookers and challengers everyday and with that alone, Im glad I got my truck!
