Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Great Driving Truck. Rides like a luxury sedan.

The Ford 5.4L is woefully underpowered. It is sluggish and is a total dog in the mountains as well as when towing. I do like the interior fit and finish as well as the functionality of the layout.

My 6 cylinder F-150 has been a real workhorse. My last couple of Ford Rangers lasted 150,000 miles before I traded them in and the F-150 seems to be on the same track. I get 22 mpg in mixed city and hiway driving with the manual 5 speed if I keep my foot off the gas. The 6 cylinder has all the power I need to haul lots of weight on those occasions when I need to haul 1,500 pounds. I had to replace a broken overload spring and upgraded to a heavier set to handle the weight. The engine didnt have a problem with a full load. The acid test was that the engine hauled all that weight over the Pennsylvania Turnpike in cruise control with very few problems.

My experience with my F-150 was the worst experiance I have ever had with a vehicle. The build quality was extremely poor. Within the first 6 months all fuel injectors had to be replaced. The stitching on the front seats came apart not once but twice! The headliner came apart. The outside mirror fell off as I was driving. My exp. with the dealership regarding these issues was also poor. It will be the last Ford vehicle I ever have!

  • Love my truck - 2003 Ford F-150

The 03Ford Harley-Davidson 100th anniversary edition F-150 is one bad truck...period!! The supercharger screams Im not just another F-150 and the only truck badder is my big brother the "Lightning". The truck turns heads from the ages of 5 to 100. Not only does it look good but it can work if the need arises. I installed a hitch and occasionally pull a 14 trailer with no problem.I was actually shopping for a lightning but saw the Harley model and forgot all about the Lightning. If you want a BAD truck with power, looks and room all in one package buy the Harley-Davidson F-150.

  • Dependable, tough, minor issues - 2000 Ford F-150

Bought new, now 82,000 miles (Driving this truck less now due to high gas prices). Only mechanical problem has been door actuators, which I have had to replace. Have used 4wd a lot with no problems. This has been a very reliable truck I can count on and even though is depreciating fast I have no plans to sell as long as it holds up. Rides like a big luxury car on highway. Is developing some rust at bottom inside of doors. Back seat is not comfortable for adults. Gas mileage is poor, 12/16.

My only other consideration was a Nissan Titan. I found the Ford to be much more what I liked in the end.The F150 just felt more like a truck and its bigger. The Titan is nice, but its almost over refined. I want a truck that feels and looks like a truck. The F150 is easy to add mods to and I liked that as well. Im glad I went back to American vehicle ownership. It makes me proud to drive it everyday.

  • Basic truck - 2008 Ford F-150

I was looking for my first truck not car. I knew I wanted a real vehicle. This is it. Good power. Below average gas mileage was expected. About 15-17 city and 22-25 highway. The 4.6l V8 has plenty of power. The only thing I regret about getting this truck is I did not get it in 4x4 only because I could not afford it. The msrp was 21,000 I got it for 16,000. I very strongly reccomend this truck

  • Better than the Titan - 2006 Ford F-150

Drives easy and smooth. Simple and easy to use controls. Just 1 rattle so far. I have owned both a Dodge and a Nissan Titan and this truck beats them both.

I love this truck. Every time I pull into a gas station, it seems like the truck is like a magnet for compliments. One of the reasons I ride a Harley is for this same response, Lots of chrome on my Harley attracts attention like this truck brings on the "Wow" what a great looking truck. It drives well, has a great interior package, comfortable seats, with Harley logos throughout. The 22 inch wheels are an attention grabber, and moonroof is a great option. I like the AWD capability, and the fact they only build 10,000 of these makes ownership a plus. Not everyone has one, making them unique. Gas mileage of course could be better, but its a truck. All in all, Love this truck.
