Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

very happy with this truck - 2006 Ford F-150
By pandabear - April 6 - 8:53 amThis is my first purchased pick up after previously owning an 05 mustang, and i will never be able to drive another car again. I have the 5.4. And driving it proper i manage about 16 and a 1/2 mpg. This is the smoothest truck Ive ever set foot in. But it can also be an aggressive monster off road. I love its looks, inside and out. I love the shifter in the middle it looks good and is in a perfect arm reaching area. It is pretty powerful. I havent had the pleasure of testing out its great tow capacity yet. Overall I love it.

1 Tuff Ford - 1994 Ford F-150
By MIKE - April 4 - 6:56 amBought this truck new. I still own and drive it daily. It has performed above my expectations. For a American vehicle that was built in a era when American vehicles had very poor qualty and performance this is 1 bad truck. My truck still looks great and turns heads. It performs strong and just like that old timex watch it takes a liken and stlll ticking. The only work done to this truck was a transmission overhaul and a water pump. For 15 years not bad. I would buy it again.

My best Truck 4.6 v8 stx supercrew 4x4 - 2008 Ford F-150
By chris short - April 2 - 11:22 pmI got this truck last august from my father for never getting in trouble with the law. I drive gravel everyday because my driveway is 1 mile straight gravel. The suspension handles very well on the gravel as well as on the road. My rear glass shakes a little when i hit a sharp bump though. I am glad i got the 4.6 because i picked up fuel economy compared to my dads 5.4. It has plenty of power to pull my supercrew 4x4. I have had no problems in my first 9000 miles. I hope it keeps up the only thing im doing is lifting the front end to level and adding dual exaust and maybe a cold air intake.

poor exterior design flaws - 2009 Ford F-150
By 20victory03 - April 1 - 10:55 amI just purchased a new 2009 Ford F-150 4x4 XL Regular Cab. I Love the truck except for 2 flaws in design. First...The head rests protrude out from the seat back about 5 inches which pushes your head in a lookdown position. The seat must be reclined back in order to level out your head so you are looking out the windshield instead of down at the bottom of steering wheel. I turned the headrests backwards which now has zero protection in the event of a rear collision but it now is comfortable. Secondly, The 2 openings on either side of license plate has 2 brackets that Fords engineers have no clue of what they are for, sitting there and is an eye sore, these holes are for extra cooling. The holes supposedly, according to the engineers route extra air up to the radiator for engine cooling. If this is a fact, Ford should have installed air intake ducts to direct air up to the front of radiator...not filled the back side with a rubber mat, enclosing the area.

By chris cogis - March 31 - 10:00 amthis is a reply in regards to the compare it link at this website edmunds said that the dodge ram with the v-10 viper engine(str-10) whooped the svt on horsepower i beg to differ according to truckin magazine the srt had a 1/4 mile time of 14.08 sec @ 101.64 m.p.h,it has a 0-60 of 5.66 with 500 h.p, 525 #s of torque (remember that this is an 8.3 liter engine)and has an msrp of $45,000!!!!! Ouch , but on the other hand fords svt lightning ran a 1/4 time of 14.68 sec @ 98.37 mph it has a 0-60 of 6.37 with 380 h.p and 450 #s of torque and has a msrp of $33,495 yes the srt has more hp and torque but the lightning can hang with a minimal difference in specs.

A+ - 2009 Ford F-150
By Craig - March 31 - 12:27 amThis is my 10th new Ford truck since 1986 and may be the best one yet!. My last was a loaded 2005 supercrew. I had no complaints with it but just went looking to see what deals were out there and drove away with a new 09. Great gas mileage 19mpg, even here in WV. The extra 6" of cab room are very noticeable and appreciated (65" 350). 1100 miles no problems. Great truck

Back to Ford Again - 2008 Ford F-150
By Casper - March 29 - 12:21 pmMy 2008 F150 Supercrew is a a joy to drive. I owned a 2006 Infiniti G35 and to be honest with you I am glad to have my F150. The seats are excellent and the cabin layout. Would not buy any other truck but a Ford. The Ford looks better than any other truck on the market.

Could ask for more! - 2009 Ford F-150
By Doug M. - March 29 - 12:25 amI purchased my F-150 about 2 and 1/2 months ago. It was a replaemnet for my 08.5 Nissan Titan-which was totaled- it collapsed like a tin can! Bought the Ford instead of getting another Titan and definately made the right choice! It Looks better, better gas mileage, more comfortable and roomy. My family and I have taken numerous trips to see my family out of state in this short time and the family loves it! Average about 20mpg on the trip when I set the cruise at 75 very pleased with that. Just a great buy and great truck. My first ruck was a Ford and have owned a Dakota, Ram, Frontier, Titan , Ranger and will only buy an F-150 from now own! Love it. Over 500 miles a tank! 5500 miles so far..

2002 F-150 XLT Supercab - 2002 Ford F-150
By bullet-head - March 28 - 2:00 amI have had this truck for a year, and it has been flawless!!! Super ride, great interior, and not one issue or repair yet. And contrary to the style choices here, I have the XLT V-6 4.2liter with an AUTO tranny....(style box did not have that option)

A Long White Elephant! - 2000 Ford F-150
By Rich MacKinnon - March 27 - 12:40 amI purchased this truck in Dec 2006- my old 93 Suburban totally blew out its transmission and I needed a vehicle as my wife is in a wheelchair & she got in and out if the Suburban easily, as well as loading her chair. This truck was a spur-of-the-moment thing as I didnt think Id get credit. I did and my wife hates this truck! She cannot get into it! - The passenger seat is almost 2 inches higher than the driver seat- seat top is a full 36 inches from teh ground! - The Odometer keeps coming on & off due to a crack in the soldering (a problem noted on F150.net) - Fuel economy stinks! My Suburban with that big 350 got an average of 16 to 18! This small-block V8 gets 12 mpg. - The ABS died
