Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Honest review - 07 KING RANCH - 2007 Ford F-150
By Bill - April 16 - 8:20 am"Z" plan buyer (owned 15 Fords). Best luxury truck in class...but. Ford is so close to perfect but misses the mark on basic no brainer features and poor warranty. Im convinced the engineers do not drive trucks and do models and CAD design for looks not function. Unfortunately, they could have a home run and turn around the company if they would listened to the public and get back to basics. Weak A/C and pitiful fuel economy. Front passengers have elbows in rear cupholders. Poor location. Most Ford dealerships try to scam general public and still try to con the A, X and Z plan buyers with over-inflated dealer adds further ruining Ford experience.

Go for the Platinum-BUY AMERICAN! - 2009 Ford F-150
By dvick - April 15 - 2:50 pmLooked at everything on market- saw the competitive videos that Ford did, that, plus the fact that it is an IIHS Safety pick made the decision-even tough I liked the looks of the Dodge better. Go for the Platinum, you get the deployable running boards, infinitely adjustable tilt wheel and much more for less than $1G more than the KRanch. Others talked about the headrests, they can be bent back out of the way w/out hurting the seat. Only have about 275 miles, all in town, getting about 12mpg, about as expected. This is one ritzy truck, rides like a Caddy, hauls like a Superduty safe, strong, well built- cant go wrong! Will update later when I know more about MPG over long haul.

FX-4 ROCKS!!! - 2009 Ford F-150
By j.m. - April 14 - 3:36 pmI keep writing reports because everyone must know how great Ford Trucks are. I just sold my 05 FX-4 with 92,000 for $15,000 and that truck was great. Not one single problem! I have had this 09 since late October, and between horse trailering and work, I have accumulated 17,600 miles. Friend and I did 2800 mile roadtrip from NJ to FL in Feb. and I ave. 19.1 mpg doing 75 with ac on and that includes the Orlando and Miami Beach traffic ( and I have the biggest combo Supercrew 4x4 with 6.5 ft bed and 3.73 rear and 5.4) The ride and handling are great. I pulled a car trailer loaded with 69 Torino and 73 Suburban at the same time for 80 miles, no problem. This is simply the best truck on the road!

Drive the Ford LAST! - 2009 Ford F-150
By GOTOPLESS - April 14 - 10:26 amI have owned them all. The last was the Toyota Limited Tundra. Yea, it is nice, but....IT WAS NOT A FORD. Ford has built a great all around truck. Easy to drive, park, haul, pull, ect. Plenty of power, great improvement in transmission, descent gas mileage, backup camera is a must for the boat pullers. No hoopla. GREAT TRUCK!

Best Ford EVER! - 2009 Ford F-150
By Firemark - April 14 - 4:57 amIve owned several Toyotas, just sold my O4 CrewCab Tundra. I was blown away with the quality and features of the Platinum F150. This holds up well past the first impression. Now have over 3,500 miles in 3 months and havent found any flaws. Interior room is cavernous and perfectly appointed. The reason I bought this was the rear floor space when you fold up the seats. New Tundras have NO floor space in back since seats only fold down. The Synch system took longer to learn than all other features. The blue- Tooth phone provides the best quality call ever, even vs the handset on the phone. Gas mileage exceeds my old Tundra, never less that 13.5 with best 15.5 on a highway trip.

Great Truck - Zero Problems - 2003 Ford F-150
By Big D - April 12 - 1:33 pmBought this truck new for my son for school and work. He has over 140,000 miles on it now and not a single trip to the Service Dept except to change the fluids. Has exceeded all expectations. When they say Built Ford Tough, its true!

100+ Ford - 2007 Ford F-150
By debug013 - April 10 - 12:38 pmThis is my 6th F150 Supercrew. 5.4 v8, 3.73 limited slip rearend, chrome package, Dark shadow gray/silver on bottom, skid plates and few other goodies. Current mileage 17K. This is a great truck. Ive had an entire pallet of ceramic tile(3000LBS)in the bed of this truck and the only noticeable difference was the truck sat level instead of nose down. Average 12-13mpg city and 18.5-20mpg highway. Only one minor problem during a cold spell this winter the 4X4 acuator on the front axle wouldnt engage. Dealer found water in acuator and it had frozen. Dealer replaced it in a few hours I was back in the mud.

Just What We Wanted - 2006 Ford F-150
By Chuck - April 7 - 10:56 pmTraded 01 Supercrew for 06. It meets our needs perfectly. Interior finish & passenger accommodations are excellent. The short bed holds everything 2 adults and 3 kids need to travel. Gas mileage is down from 01 but slightly exceeds predictions. The ride is quiet & a little stiff but handling is excellent. Interior storage space is minimal (rear underseat space taken up by the sub woofer). Rear seaters miss individual reading lights. Wheel wells (especially rear) are not closed off as well as the 01 & are difficult to keep clean (also impacts looks). Side impact strip would prevent "door dings". "Nit Pick": would like more substantial grill in vehicle in this price range.

One Tough Truck - 1994 Ford F-150
By ladogman - April 7 - 9:12 pmIm a professional dog trainer, i have an 8 hold dog topper mounted on the truck with dry storage and a 15 gallon water tank. I also tow behing this truck a 4 hole dog trailer which also carries my four wheeler and other gear. The 300 inline v6 is remarkable, alot of trainers are amazed at my trucks capabilities. I would not trade my truck for no other truck out there. I just wish i would have bought one with four wheel drive.

Love The Truck-but it needs a Nose Job - 2009 Ford F-150
By dvickers - April 6 - 12:55 pmHavent purchased one yet, but soon will-looked at everything else- really liked the dodge, but safety rating on Dodge(side crash) unnaceptable. Superior ride, billet solid, no squeaks. Seats MUCH more supportive than last model, last one hurt my back after only 10 minutes. Ford did their homework-anti-trailer sway control might save your life-only thing I disliked is the gawdawful grill-Im from TX, where everything is big, but they went overboard! Last models grill much more attractive. Will purchase Platinum vs King Ranch- price it out, theres less than $1,000 difference, and you get the automatic running boards that are actually in the right place to use as a step when deployed.
