Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Helluva truck - 1994 Ford F-150
By Jim - May 28 - 7:37 pmThis has easily been the most reliable truck Ive owned. It has the 302 engine and is slightly underpowered for its gas mileage, but it gives 100% of what it has. Ive never done engine work to it other than tune-ups, have only repaired things that wear out on any vehicle, like ball joints, u-joints, fluids, brakes, belts, etc. I dont think there is a higher quality vehicle available. Its been in 2 serious wrecks with only body damage resulting, after repairs you cant even tell!

By nick - May 28 - 12:23 pmwhen i bought it seemed to be doing fine, then the transmission went out at 60k right when the waranty expired. gas mileage stinks and its only a 2 wheel drive. went out and bought a chevy instead, they last at least twice as long with allison transmissions.

By Zowy - May 27 - 12:08 amIts all about reliability. Powerful at low speed. So much torque. Awesome 4x4. Large cargo area. Not so much repair cost. Very easy to find out used parts. VERY Reliable. This is my second F150. For sure will have it for many years.

1ST full size truck - 2005 Ford F-150
By me - May 26 - 9:50 amThis is my first full size truck and I love it. I drove all of the other tucks before I bought this awesome 150. This truck is super comfortable, drives like a dream, and looks great. This is the time to buy a truck, I got a great price(with some fighting) I highly recommend test driving this truck before you buy anything else.

Bang for the buck - 2005 Ford F-150
By Happy Camper - May 25 - 11:53 amI bought this truck a couple years after buying my house. Needed something to make those trips to home Depot. As usual, the occasional need arises to ask the truck to do more than expected. And with the 4.2 V-6, I was a little concerned about its ability to provide adequate power. The chassis build was never a concern. Honestly, the sluggish feel from the V6 doesnt fully demonstrate its full potential under load. It actually starts to behave like the famous 300ci in-line six. I was quite surprised when I hooked up my new 27 travel trailer, and was reaching for the overdrive button at highway speeds. Have towed a 66 Mustang on a Uhaul trailer, and 2000 of stone in the box. Not one problem

Its ok, BUT NOT FOR TEXAS - 2004 Ford F-150
By HoustonPerson - May 24 - 10:00 amOverall I like my truck ok. The MSRP was $41,000 It cost about $2,000 more than most of the others and about 4 to 5,000 more than a comparable Dodge or Chevy. It is way over priced!

Amazing - 2004 Ford F-150
By dvenoregon - May 24 - 10:00 amSome reviews state the cabin is too noisy. Totally untrue. The cabin is quieter than most sedans on the market and is very roomy, especially leg- room. The new body style brings back the masculinity of a pickup. The new frame (nine times stronger than the previous model) and suspension allow for excellent cornering, stability, and braking. My dad has a 2000 F150, and you can really feel the difference between the two. The new one is much smoother. The only negatives are the added weight for the new model take away some of the oomph off the line. Gas mileage is poor (13-14) although I didnt expect much.

Awsome truck even in harsh winters - 2007 Ford F-150
By rondee1374 - May 23 - 2:21 pmI really wasnt in favor of my husband buying this truck off the show room floor but it is a workhorse! No problem in the 3 feet of snow that fell in one day the first year we owned it, have never had to put extra weight in the back. Im not a truck person but this truck is AWESOME and fun to drive.
