Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Ford tough - 2001 Ford F-150
By Marjoh - June 20 - 4:53 am187k miles(!). Smokin deal for babied truck I couldnt pass up. Steering, tranny, engine, brakes = superb. I researched trucks for wks. 2001 F150 is SOLID with awesome reliability. I drove many Chevys and none of them felt as robust as the F150. This is an incredibly well built truck with outstanding ext paint quality, plenty of muscle, & smooth ride. With flowmaster exhaust it roars like a lion. Handling is outstanding for a 9 year old truck. Power steering is perfect touch and feel. Adjustable pedals, compass, outside temp, pwr everything, big center console, incredible leg room in back, etc are all just sauce on a juicy slab of grade A beef. Truly Ford hit a homerun with this model yr

Best truck I have ever owned - 2009 Ford F-150
By Tony - June 17 - 9:19 pmThis truck is the best truck I have owned. It is comfortable, rugged, can hold a lot, and has conveniences that make it a pleasure for drivers of any age. No more skinned knees or sprained ankles getting into and out of the bed, and the side steps make reaching into the front of the bed a snap. I really like the cargo management system to control movement of smaller loads. The seats are a notch above others in this class, much more comfortable than the 2008 Tundra I just sold. Visibility is great, even the radio sounds good. Having owned and driven well over 20 trucks over the years, my comment that it is the best I have owned actually means something. Avg hwy miles 21.3 and city 14.2.

Super Truck Awesome value!! - 2008 Ford F-150
By willy47 - June 15 - 2:36 pmI had promised myself that I wouldnt buy another American made car (truck). Capital Ford in Raleigh, NC ran an ad at a price I couldnt pass up. After a rocky start on the price negotiations my salesman, (Martin Clark) went above and beyond the call duty, he got the owner of the company involved! The owner showed me the truck and the features and assigned his personal assistant to deal with me if I had any problems. (I was told that never happens). I bought the truck with no test drives and have had no complaints. The folks at Capital Ford are as nice as they can be. From what I can tell, they lost money on the deal, even then they are as nice as they can be.

Best F-150 and Truck on the road! - 2009 Ford F-150
By lekeller - June 13 - 3:58 pmPlatinum model is a real head turner. Have had several near traffic accident misses as people staring at this truck and not paying attention to driving. Even other brand truck owners like this truck. Leather interior is great and fairly comfortable on long trips. Real world fuel mileage is 10-18 MPG without using 4WD. Really like this truck. Best F-150 I ever owned.

Just OK - 2005 Ford F-150
By SWP - June 12 - 11:47 pmAfter almost 3 years of ownership all I can say is that the truck is just OK. Mileage is 13mpg city and hiway. My problems have been: Clunck in transmission when starting from a stop, back sliding rear window rattles like crazy (had repaired once), bracket holding the passenger front window in place broke and the window fell into the door,($425 for that fix) CD player had to be replaced, brakes replaced at 20,000 miles and I do not drive the truck hard, needs a little more power. Good things: Decent ride, nice looking truck inside and out, comfortable seats.

Awesome F-150 SuperCrew Lariat - 2009 Ford F-150
By dironk - June 10 - 9:01 pmWOW, I thought my 2005 SuperCrew drove and rode nice, this truck is awesome. The 5.4L has plenty of power and gets good gas mileage, averaging 19.2. It is so quiet and has so many great features and ideas encompassed in it, like the improved tilt wheel(my 2005 tilt was the pits with that bulky handle underneath the column), the improved tailgate extender that separates, microsoft sync, the compartment to the right of the steering wheel my Blackberry fits perfectly in, the size of the interior( I think you could sleep two back there comfortably), the sony stereo, it is just a greatly improved truck. Ford really out did themselves on this truck.

Greatly Built - 2000 Ford F-150
By Xenfull - June 9 - 7:37 pmI love this truck. It has 209,000 miles on it and the 5.4L and trany are as strong as ever. The rear axel seal went out and I ended up buring up the gears in the differentail "my fault". The control arm bushings need to be replaced, which I hear are notorious to start making noises in all fords. Other than that not a problem with it. Every mechanic I have talked to say that so long as you keep it maintained, It will last to 300,000 miles+. My next truck I get will be a Ford F150.
