Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

FORD BUILT TOUGH From Norfolk VA. - 2002 Ford F-150
By miketerrell - August 15 - 10:00 amNot one flaw in the body or interior, 16 - 17 mpg city, 17-19 on the road. Slight delay on accelleration. This is because the hole for the air intake is to small. Put a Air Cleaning Kit on and the horse power goes up and no more delay. No change in gas mailage. Used Dura Shine instead of wax and it never looks dirty. (dark blue paint) Still looking for something wrong but havent found it. Wouldnt you know it, the air conditioning is to cold my glasses fog up when I get out of the truck.

Very Nice Truck - 2005 Ford F-150
By smithbt5 - August 13 - 5:56 pmThis is a very good truck. The handling is the best I have seen on a truck. The ride is very controlled and comfortable, but a little stiff. There very little body roll. Crash test ratings are excellent and even the resistance to rollover is good. The acceleration from a stop is adequate, but not as good as you might expect from the horsepower and torque ratings. Acceleration seems better when passing and merging. I love the deep bed and very large console storage space.

Nice Truck - 2009 Ford F-150
By steviewonder 20 - August 13 - 4:22 pmGreat ride, very comfortable and quiet. Got the 5.4 engine as I got a great deal on an advertised package, and the mileage only 1 mpg less. Getting about 14 mpg in the city, about the same as my old 97 f150 4.7 v- 8. I noticed in consumer reports, they mentioned the truck engine to be a little loud, and the ride a little rough. Wow, I would have to disagree. This engine and tranny is silky smooth and quiet, everyone comments on that who has been in the truck. I test drove some other trucks, but this one really feels luxurious.

Love me some Ford Truck - 2009 Ford F-150
By Mark - August 13 - 10:41 amI laughed when I read that another guys wife sounded off about buying American. My wife did too as I was considering the Tundra or Tacoma but never got to the dealer. I did test drive Dodge, GMC and Ford. In every category from deal to doors I like the Ford at least a little better. GMC was a strong consideration and felt more refined but I wasnt looking for refined. I was looking for some big & bad truck and I found it in my black XLT 4X4.

My First Truck and what a Good Choice ! - 2004 Ford F-150
By paris77 - August 12 - 10:00 amWell after reviewing the other American made choices for 1/2 tons, this new Ford F 150 Lariat Supercrew 4WD wins hands down.I am lucky to own this as my first truck which was purchased to haul a horse trailer and general utility use. The ride is incredible and the power is fine for a 2 horse trailer. I plan to have this for many years and am quite happy I chose the Ford.

04 F150 4x4 - 2004 Ford F-150
By WD - August 12 - 10:00 amI have the 04 XLT supercab w/4wd and the 5.4L. Highly recommend the truck. Ride is excellent, makes our Jeep Grand Cherokee seem like a Wrangler. Power is pretty good,(not quite like the Dodge Hemi I tested). Plently of torque for towing though. It gets about 16 mpg on my regular mixed driving routine. I actually got slightly over 18 mpg on a long highway trip! Have had a couple of minor cosmetic/fit & finish complaints, about what I expected from a new model.

Ford Trucks - 2004 Ford F-150
By Chris55 - August 12 - 10:00 amThis is my second Ford F-150. My first one I had ten years. And in those ten years, the only repairs besides regular maintenance was a battery at 130 thousand miles, and a water pump at 140 thousand. I sold the truck ten years after I bought it with 165 thousand miles on it. It still ran great, and looked good, I do wax it every four months. The only reason I sold the truck, I wanted the extended cab.
