Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Best Truck Ive been in - 2009 Ford F-150
By Scott - September 22 - 1:41 pmI never expected such an all around excellent performer. This truck is very comfortable, quiet and very capable in every way. One reason I picked it over the Toyota Tundra is the large gas tank, 36 gallons vs 26 gallons. The extra capacity is very helpful when Im towing. Other great towing features are the integrated brake controller, and sway control.

Best Truck In America - 2005 Ford F-150
By F. T. Kinney - September 21 - 3:32 pmI bought a 2005 Supercrew King Ranch. This truck is a piece of art in my opinion. It could not be more comfortable or look any more appealing to the eye. The Truck is a work horse and has all the power anyone could expect and a ride that is of the luxury car type. Anyone that is considering a truck for the long haul should look into a F series! Well worth the money!!!

Oh What a Feeling! - 2004 Ford F-150
By Rdonovan491 - September 18 - 10:00 amI fell in love as soon as a sat in the new Ford! What an improvement in comfort and design. The toughest decision was choosing between the Lariat and th FX. I chose the Lariat finally due to a slightly prefeered guage look. I was a little concerned about driving it after hearing some of the reviews on it lacking power. It felt fine, if you want 0-50 acceleration in my opinion by a car! The pulling and ability to climb hills was great.

So Good So Far - 2008 Ford F-150
By ATL2059 - September 18 - 7:26 amI bought the truck back in January and it has done well overall. Other than the the tailgate trim piece coming off on one end that was replaced under warranty, it has held up well. The truck drives well and the fuel economy is what should be expected from it. 15 in the city 18 to 19 on the Hwy. The power of the 5.4 is there but it is geared low. It wont be the first one off the line but it will cruise comfortably at 80 no problem. Overall it has been good so far and i hope it will continue to do so.

03 Lightning = Great Buy - 2003 Ford F-150
By George - September 17 - 4:35 pmYear 3 of owning my Lightning. It is daily driven for most of the year. She gets into the occasional spirited acceleration now and then. Picked it up with 25k on the clock, now have 73k. I take good care of it, pretty much looks and runs the same as the day I got it. Only issue Ive ever had was the starter going around 50k. Beyond that plenty of tires (my fault haha), and recently rotors and pads. Most reliable vehicle Ive ever owned!

F-150 Super Crew - the perfect solution - 2001 Ford F-150
By hokiefanz4 - September 16 - 4:36 pmHaving a car-truck-SUV dilemma? Need all three; only your checkbook wont stretch that far? Heres the perfect solution! Acres of room & leather interior makes you forget its a truck. Rear seats fold flat for unbelievable cargo capacity. Open your hard tonneau cover for the perfect fix for your hauling blues! Cover removes in 15 minutes. Handles so well and looks so sharp you might have a hard time convincing your wife to let you take HER truck for a spin!

Looked at too much junk - 2009 Ford F-150
By 737driver - September 15 - 5:13 pmI looked for 1-2 year old ones to replace my 2000 and was not finding what I wanted for the money. I am very happy I decided to go with new. I have been getting between 18-19 with the 373 limited slip rear end. Most of used trucks I looked at were beat up or they wanted almost new price. I got mine for invoice. Been very happy with truck so far. The transmission and fit and finish I feel are quite nice for the price and it is a quiet solid truck.

Use the warranty - 2007 Ford F-150
By msmith132 - September 15 - 4:44 amBought the truck with 2 miles on it in 2007. DonÂ’t get me wrong I love my truck and I have had 2 F-150 before this one but it had been in the shop 5 times since I have had it. The first time it was a window gasket. It has had two starters and now it is in the shop getting a new flywheel. It only has 30, *** miles on it. Even after all this stuffÂ…. I still love it and would not trade it for anything else.

Watch Out for Spark Plugs - 2004 Ford F-150
By mwd - September 13 - 8:39 amThe Good: Awesome looks and terrific interior room for 5 people that can also pull a boat. Great comfort. The Bad: Transmission has had trouble with leaking seals and shakes intermittently on the road. Spark plugs!! Really bad design. Even Ford mechanics cant get them out routinely without breaking them off in the cylinder head. You get the charge for the additional labor to fish them out. Changing plugs on this model can cost anywhere from $500 to $1500! If you buy this truck used, make sure this has already been done or take it into account when pricing.
