Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Bought this truck used with 30,000 miles and am now at 47,000 within 8 months of owning it. So far,not one thing has broke, extremely reliable! And, i get better gas mileage than any v6 ranger owner i talk to. I was shopping for a Ranger when i bought this truck , and Im sooo glad i did. Its a bit underpowered, but do you expect, its a v6.

  • Best Full-Size Pickup! - 2004 Ford F-150

Ive owned several trucks over the years (both Ford and Chevy) but this one is the best yet! Excellent ride & handling. Stylish exterior and best looking most functional interior Ive ever seen in a truck. Extremely quiet driver/passenger compartment with virtually no wind noise. Performance of the 3-valve 5.4L V8 Engine is very good. If youre looking for a full- size pickup, take a look at the new 2004 F-150!

  • top of the line - 2004 Ford F-150

This is simple, its the best looking, longest lasting and toughest truck on the road for this class. This truck is great to drive and proud to be seen in. A truck you can go to work in and then take out for a night on the town. This is a 9 rating staight accross. I think the only down side is that the transmission doesnt quite fit the engine, a smoother shift would make this the ultimate drive. Other than that it handles curves, hills and hiways with excellent reactions to comands. I waited years to buy the best truck and i got it.......DWD.. Ca.

I have always driven Fords. This one is the best! Power, ride, and quality. Truck is my dailey driver and gas mileage is okay for a big truck.(avg 17)Ford dealers here are great, back up the product. People need to do the research, Americans still and do build the best vechiles.

  • Little issues, Great truck - 2008 Ford F-150

I have had this truck since January 08. The power is deceiving. I hauled my 600 pound bike from Texas to Wyoming without ever feeling the weight. The truck just towed away. The little issues I have are the wiper cowel coming off for the 5th time, shake in the steering wheel above 50mph, rattle in the dash, and a strange vibration that happens sporadically. Had all of these issues addressed at the dealer. They continue to irritate me. For such a great driving truck, Ford should really adress these issues. It is my understanding that these are fixed for the new 2009 model.

Well I bought this truck back in 2006 before I Joined the Marine Corps and used it for pleasure and work Id have to say drivin back and forth over the years has defiantly thrown some miles on it 250k but it still purrs like the day I bought It I pulled more then 2& a half tons with it and had no problem what so ever Used it as my own business truck and took my date to prom So Ive never had one problem just regular maintenance and a lot of TLC

  • Great truck! - 2006 Ford F-150

I purchased this truck because I have to haul a large boat. I had a Chevy Tahoe that just didnt haul it well. This truck is awesome for hauling and room. Ive had people who have never been in a large truck comment on how much room and comfortable both front and back seats are. The Lariat package is nice with all the toys. It rides nice for a truck and handles better than the suv I had. The standard tires are bad, Im going to replace those before winter. I little more HP would be ok too

  • 2015 f150 Platinum 3.5L, disappointed... - 2015 Ford F-150
    By -

Owned the 2015 f150 Platinum 3.5L Ecoboost for 9 months/14,000 miles, 3/2016 sold 11/2016. Being 65" could never get comfortable compared to the previous 10 f150s and 2 f250s owned. Lane departure stopped working 2 months into ownership, front rotors have gouges, right side of windshield had a waviness blemish between plys, engine developed an oil seep, seat backs are thin, you can feel all of the controls, wires etc. for the massaging seats in the back and they squeak. Cooled seats stink, heat works well. Drivers seat leather starting to fade and all seats are so slick that all contents end up on floor under moderate braking. AND the aluminum body, forget it, it actually looks like it has dents/ripples all over IMO, creases around door handles, poor fit and finish and the hood actually bounces going down the road due to min stiffeners. Using adaptive cruise control on the highway, around corners, can be tricky if there is slower traffic in the lane next to you, the FLIR sees the traffic as being in your lane and clamps on the brakes, not a warm and fuzzy feeling. Ride is horrible over rough roads and the back end is so light it feels dangerous but man is she quiet inside if the sun roof rails arent squeaking (requires several opens and closes to "reset" it. When standing in the bed you can hear it bend, moan and groan, I am only 215 lbs. MY BAD for dropping 49k on the POS! live and learn. Traded it in for a 2013 f150 5.0. LOVE the 2013... LEDs are way cool though, thats about it... I am in aviation and pay extreme attention to detail and baby all of my vehicles. Again, Im a Ford guy for life and thought "stepping up" to the Platinum I would be ecstatic, boy was I wrong.

  • 3rd Ford truck! still impressed! - 2006 Ford F-150
    By -

Im on my 3rd Ford truck. 2 Rangers, and now the F-150. Ive owned my last 2 for at least 5-7 years, and NEVER had a single problem. Ive over exceeded weight capacities, towed, hauled, even pulled trees out of the ground! This F-150 is powerful enough, sharp looking, and more comfortable than my Rangers. I can only agree with other reviews that the A/C is weak, and I live in southwest Florida. So far averaging the SAME mileage with this 5.4L as I did with my 3.0 supercab Ranger! It also has enough back seat room for the baby seat. If I have the same luck with this 5.4L, 4 door supercab as I did with my Rangers, then Im sticking with the Fords!
