Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Ford Tough - 1996 Ford F-150
By Darrell - December 10 - 2:31 pmBought this truck with 100,011 miles on it. It now has 254,433 miles on it and all i have had to do is replace the battery, torque converter, alternator, shifter inner guts and thats it. Still runs like new, uses no oil, leaks nothing. Not so fond of fuel mileage but hey its a 96 model. Looks like new when cleaned up. Drives better than my sons 05 Dodge ram. I will drive it until the wheels fall off, and even then may put them back on and keep driving it.

Great Work Horse - 2009 Ford F-150
By MDHIPP - December 5 - 9:35 amXL Styleside w/ 8ft bed and 5.4 Flex Fuel. This truck does everything I ask it to do with no complaints. Towing is a breeze and gas mileage has sometimes been up to 22mpg on long trips.

Ford Truck Owner for 33 YEARS - 2004 Ford F-150
By Terry - December 4 - 6:02 pmI purchased my first Ford 74 F-250 when I was 15 years old it was beat up. I am a general contractor in Chicago My currant 04 F-150 truck is used for hauling-family trips and it is versatile for all uses. I traded in a 03 for this 04. The ride is awesome, Rear diff. factory recall at 30k., only replacement has been brakes-tires until 158,000 miles, trans rebuilt, had the oil changed today at 168,000 mil (oil every 3000 to 5000 miles)and still running strong. All my Fords have been dependable and I drive-em hard. I was going to try a Chevy before I purchased this one but the new 03 Chevy was $1,400.00 more than this 04 Lariat. I will write another review when I hit 400,000 miles!!!!!

ALL American Truck - 2009 Ford F-150
By SoldierBoy - November 29 - 5:17 amThe 2009 F150 is a great looking truck. The truck has a smooth ride with a quiet cab. The issue with the truck though is somewhat cheaply made and needs more horsepower.

My Review - 2004 Ford F-150
By Stupidyou - November 28 - 10:00 amWell i first test drove it i was going to be a huge hunk of metal. I was wrong. This creature did almost 0-60 in 5.6 sec. Thats fast for something that weighs almost 3 tons. The torque was just right with enough room to haul a medium baot with that pick-up to pass that granny cadalic.

bad transmission and rear - 2003 Ford F-150
By Joe Nicholson - November 28 - 10:00 amThe transmission slips and the rear bangs on hills. The dealer cannot duplicate the noise and no one is around to come for a ride with me. This is a big disappointment for the best selling truck. I should have bought a Toyota.

Dont like the trans on the 4.6 - 2009 Ford F-150
By Chef - November 26 - 9:38 pmHad an 5.4 2007 fX4 and went to the xlt 4.6 for better gas. Nice truck ,love the look inside out, but i hate the transmission. 1st just feels a little rough and when you are coming to a stop and the truck is down shifting into 1st gear it makes a jerk feel . I did not notice it the first few weeks cause I was taking it easy on the truck for the 1st 2000 miles. Just so I did not feel crazy I went to the dealer ship and drove the 5.4 eng , It feels much better. paid 29k for the truck and wanted to trade it in with only 2,300 and all they would give me is 23k. Should have tested drove the truck over night , mad at ford right now, Still going to trade for 5.4L down the road

Yep, Its THE Truck! - 2009 Ford F-150
By Car Guy - November 24 - 6:15 pmThis was my first full size truck, I hadnt thought about a truck, but I upgraded my travel trailer last year and it was all my Explorer wanted to handle. Now with 15,000 miles on the truck I have been very impressed with all aspects of the vehicle. Controls, interior layout, seat comfort, mileage...I could go on - Mileage for mixed driving always around 18 and hwy over 21, even with the 5.4 liter. I was amazed with a stretch last summer pulling a 6,200# trailer and still about 14mpg. I was also surprised that this truck actually has the lowest total cost of ownership vs the other full sized on the market. If you are looking for a truck, drive this - youll probably own one too!

Just saying - 2005 Ford F-150
By kgaston - November 24 - 10:05 am"engeneers need to improve the drive train". This is clearly the best drivetrain I have ever seen in a truck. The Allison is nowhere near as good as this seeing as if you do not change the fluids in the Allison religiously, it will fail quickly. The stereo package is one of the best Ive seen in a truck and I enjoy the responsive throttle and brakes. The ride is much more superior than any Chevy or Dodge Ive driven.

Built Ford Tough - 1997 Ford F-150
By nascar_nfl - November 24 - 8:33 amI purchased this truck new in 1997 and it has held up great ever since. I now have almost 190,000 on this truck and it runs perfect. I have installed lots of aftermarket parts to the truck and have always taken care of it. I live in the Mountains of Southern West Virginia so this truck sees alot of road salt during the winter but still has no rust. I take this thing off roading alot to and it NEVER gets stuck and Ihave been in some deep mud and water. The interior has plenty of romm and I am 63". It is also stylish and has good sound from the speakers. Built Ford Tough!!!
