The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. 2010 compared to 2007 - 2010 Ford F-150
By Kamloops - January 18 - 4:41 amLease period over on my 2007, purchased a 2010, exact same model. The 07 was 100% reliable, zero problems in 60,000 miles, was very happy with it. The 10 interior looks better than the already good looking (for a truck) interior of the 07. Best looking interior of all the half-tons in the truck market. However, the 07s controls and gauges were better ergonomically. The 10 has a more solid and quieter ride especially over dirt roads and off-road. The 6 speed is flawless. Very smooth and quiet shifting. I hope the expected mpg improvement is there too. Over my same regular commute route, the engine in the 10 seems to be running at less average rpm than the 07 so the mpg s/d be better.

Dont purchase! - 2005 Ford F-150
By tadams0512 - January 17 - 1:43 amI bought this truck last year with only 42,000 miles and it has been downhill. Have bad cam phasers, replaced spark plugs. Ford wanted $380 due to some possible spark plug breakage in head. Now injectors bad. Overall, a terrible truck build with quality def. not job 1!

Will keep it forever - 2003 Ford F-150
By jfx4 - January 16 - 8:23 amFX4 model. Great truck. Had it since new. Now have 142,000 miles on it and still running strong. Only routine maintenance done. We tow horses regularly with it and no problems. Truck is paid for and I will keep it til I run it into the ground. Only thing I would have preferred are captains seats, not the 60/40 bench that I have.

I got one! - 2010 Ford F-150
By Charles - January 15 - 6:37 amExcited to have been able to get a deal on the RAPTOR after multiple tries at other dealers. Drove it home through a snow storm and trailered the car I was driving when I stopped in at the dealer. It handled the loaded trailer well I was cautious not to run it hard or jerky over the hills and pass. It is a truck first and foremost. Plan to have it a long time...would suggest it to anyone over other available extra cab and some 4 door trucks. It is fun to drive, use and rely on.

Beast - 1996 Ford F-150
By MegaWolf2010 - January 13 - 10:44 pmI bought this truck as my first truck in 2009. Has a straight V6 in it with a 4.5 L engine. bought it with 150,000 miles on it. I added two 10" speakers behind the single cap bench seat and still had enough room. Was really surprised because i am a Big Guy. I also added a 2 in lift to the back of the truck. Doing this added 2 extra MPG. ( with tailgate up ) GREAT truck. Perfect Turn radius with 1:1 turn ratio. Once you drive this truck you will wonder why they made new ones.

My Iron Maiden - 1992 Ford F-150
By Sarah G. - January 12 - 11:34 amWas a bit skeptical upon purchasing vehicle. The two American vehicles I owned previous were junk, including a Ford Taurus. Bought for the straight six motor. Proved to be a very reliable vehicle. I drove it only sporadically because it was my 2nd vehicle. Started up everytime, even during the coldest New England mornings. I replaced the battery and oil pan during the time I owned it (both were pretty old). Was just about as reliable as my 93 Honda Civic. Im kicking myself for selling it, I would buy another in a heartbeat.

Replaced My Tundra - 2010 Ford F-150
By mongoose - January 12 - 10:07 amAfter my 08 Tundra was totaled in an accident I went shopping for a replacement. I wanted another Tundra, but when the dealership pressed too hard, I went to Ford. When comparing the spec sheets, Ford simply had more of what I was looking for in the right price range. I always like the looks of the F150 better anyway, and now it is competitive on safety. After 3 months with this truck now, I love it. Its my daily commuter as well as a true 2nd family vehicle and big enough to carry the whole hunting crew and all of our equipment.

Best Truck Id Ever Driven - 2009 Ford F-150
By Johnny B - January 11 - 10:06 pmI had the truck for 2 months and I love it! It rides very quiet and can feel that its very solid as well. I took it offroad once and looking forward to more. The 6-spd tranny shifts seamlessly. I havent really tested the acceleration yet since I only have 1500 miles on it but it has a good pickup speed going uphills. I averaged 18.7 mpg on highway. Im hoping that will increase once its broken in.
