Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

not bad but could do better - 2001 Ford F-150
By motogirl - March 16 - 4:09 pmI bought this truck to haul the bikes, camping and some off roading (after owning a Jeep Wrangler a truck cant off road) I was looking for a Tacoma or Titan, my friends dad owned a lot and got me a great deal on this F150. i havent had to major of issues but every time i give it a good wash a spark plug blows, then every time i get the front brakes done a bolt backs out when Im in motion thank god its a quick catch and nothing bad has truly happened while i have been driving. the gas mileage is ridiculously horrible Im lucky to get 10 miles to the gallon. The stereo volume will go up when you turn it down and down when you turn it up.

Great Truck. Fun to drive! - 2010 Ford F-150
By titleist8 - March 16 - 2:09 pmGreat truck to drive. Feels very solid and handles very good. I am using this truck as our family car and my kids love to ride in it. My wife drives this truck often and loves to drive it also. I have been absolutely pleased with this truck. I tried them all and Ford is the best and they did not take government money.

Ford trucks can usually take hard hits - 1994 Ford F-150
By seth - March 16 - 3:46 amI used to own a 1980 ford f150 standard cab long bed, maybe 10 accidents, 5 switched engines, 4 switched tailgates, and one switched radio and some tires switch from time to time. the truck probably had over 700,000 miles on it and 100,000 cords of firewood delivered on it. still running.over 400 horsepower.work beast.beat the hell out of it and it never took a rest. it could burn out with 1500 lbs in the back. 8 mpg though. sold it back to my dad and got a new (new to me)1994 f150 automatic 2wd extended cab long bed. great truck, better mpg, but not nearly as much power as my old 400 hrse powered truck. I feel fancy driving my newer ford. And everyone should have a ford truck. for cars i would go kia

2009 Ford Platinum 4X4 5.3 V-8 - 2009 Ford F-150
By George - March 15 - 7:54 pmI have had the Platinum for almost a year. The Navigation is awesome. Sound is awesome. I have lumbar problems but the seats in this truck are my benchmark for any other seats. We had a Mercedes ML 350. I couldnt drive more than 20 minutes w/o back pain. The truck has been great in snow, since we live in the mountains.

New F150 Fan - 2009 Ford F-150
By ROY - March 15 - 9:22 amBefore purchasing the F150 I test drove all manufacturer trucks. I found that the F150 provided the most truck for your buck. After driving the truck for a year, I have not had any problems the truck is quiet and comfortable. The only things that I would like to see improved is to put on a telescoping steering wheel and sharper turning. Other than that the truck is awesome.

Great Truck so far - 2010 Ford F-150
By NYJim - March 13 - 8:33 pmBought 2010 XLT with 4.6 3v to replace a 2008 ranger. Previously had 2005 STX 4x4. This is by far superior. Plenty of power, rides like a car, smooth shifting, quiet cabin and decent fuel mileage for a full size. Getting about 17.5 so far but it isnt broke in yet. The 08 ranger only averaged about 16.5 with the 4.0 v6. The improved braking system is very noticeable. Sync is one of the best features available. Ford should make it standard. It is somewhat hard to find on STX and XLTs. Got a great truck at a great price. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a truck.

Back to Ford - 2010 Ford F-150
By Phil - March 13 - 4:06 pmReplaced 04 Titan with this truck after numerous problems with power train. This truck is of much higher quality in every respect. Comfort is outstanding. Interior fantastic. Very quiet. Engine bay could use a bit of a make over. Inner fender liners please. Ive had to wash my engine after muddy roads. MPG not bad for a truck of this size and capability with regular gas. Very comfortable when towing the horse trailer. Built in trailer brake and skid controls are excellent. Longer wheel base seems more comfortable to me. Overall, a great addition to the history of Ford trucks.

Ford Got It Right - 2010 Ford F-150
By Kansas City Ford - March 12 - 10:10 pmI test drove the big three trucks (Ford, Chevy, Dodge). They all have good trucks but Ford has the best over all package. Bang for the buck, Ford won my money hands down. The ride is smooth for a truck and its extremely quiet. I brought the XLT 4X4 with 5K worth of options cheaper than stripped down models (in the same trim level) of the rivals. I live on a gravel road 1/2 from the main road. I feared, every time it snowed, that I would not get to work ( not anymore). With 3.55 limited slip and 4X4 I cut through snow like its butter (even 4 ft drifts). The traction control is worth the cost of the truck alone, it greatly reduces the need for 4X4 for the average user. Job well done Ford!

Is it time to trade in? - 1996 Ford F-150
By Annabella Rosellini - March 11 - 8:07 amBought new in 1996, w/ 5.8L V8. Now has 190,000 miles. Ran relatively well. Replaced rear differential due to gear oil leak. Replaced also: AC compressor (imploded, costing $1400),radiator (leaked), water pump, alternator, cruise control pressure switch, all hoses and belt, master cylinder and brake booster, battery (twice),CD/radio (twice). Truck had a bad oil leak since 60,000 miles. ABS warning light last year resulted in inability to shift from Park to Drive and now has the same trouble and I cant drive it -- probably needs to replace the ABS module(cost over $1000 the 1st time). Got stuck one winter in Donner Pass due to a broken special lug nut key -- Tow man raped my wallet.
