Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

A great truck - 2010 Ford F-150
By giltex - June 28 - 10:07 pmHaving driven Chevys for 30 years, this lariat is top notch. I closely compared the ltz with the lariat and Fords engineering and styling sold me. The interior is nothing but elegant, and the Pueblo gold trim on a White truck really looks classy. There are some features the Chevrolet had that I miss, but the overall package just cant be beat.

Yes, it will draw attention, big time - 2010 Ford F-150
By corycat99 - June 28 - 9:09 pmI purchased the svt raptor, black on black, 6.2 L engine and the 5 month wait was worth every second. There has is not been a day go by that someone hasnt stopped me to say nice truck. It is such a joy to drive this truck , comfort and performance are top shelf. The only thing that falls off the mark is the 700w sound system by Sony. The highs waver like underwater and the bass sounds as if it trapped in a plastic bucket. I have had it back to the dealer twice with them saying that is how it is. If Ford would have gone with Bose sound this truck would have been perfect.

Excellent Truck - 2010 Ford F-150
By mike - June 28 - 12:39 pmI looked around and did a lot of research looking at Chevy, Dodge, Toyota and Ford. I needed a truck that my wife would love to ride in and that would get the job done. We needed a half ton truck to pull a travel trailer and for everyday use. We didnt want or need a 3/4 or one ton truck. I wanted the max towing that any half ton could offer and Ford won hands down. Got the max tow package with the 3.73 rear end, trailer brake, etc. It will tow 11,200 as a half ton. Incredible.. Its fun to drive, does the job and the interior rivals my wifes Lexus RX-350.

Great Truck - 2010 Ford F-150
By Dave - June 23 - 9:20 amI followed the Edmunds suggestions for getting a quote online which helped me get a great deal on this truck. By the time I went into the dealer the price was finalized and all that was left to do was take a test drive and do the paperwork. Most of the dealers you contact online will not email you an actual window sticker from a truck they have on their lot, they want to get you in there first so they can work on you. Some will go halfway and send you a bogus window sticker with a price quote which means nothing. The real sticker in the email when you get one will look exactly like a window sticker in the lot giving you all the info on the truck including a vin #.

2007 F150 XLT SUPERCAB (4.6L) 4X4 - 2007 Ford F-150
By Donnyboy - June 22 - 1:29 amBought as a lease back, has 126,000 km. Rides like a dream, smooth at all speeds. Ample room for adults or children. Actually came with a matching topper as a bonus. For our purposes the 4.6 L is plenty. If youre looking for a urban pickup truck this is the one.

Some to like, Some to Not - 2005 Ford F-150
By flyer - June 20 - 11:56 pmBought this superbly maintained low mileage 4X4 with plow, gently used. Good power and interior comfort, but I was disturbed to find both front 4 wheel drive actuators went out at 26,800 miles. It would have been past warranty (because of age, not miles). However, the original owner bought extended warranty, which does transfer, although there is a fee and some effort to get it transferred. It was fixed under warranty. The parts were in stock, which suggests to me this is a common problem. I dont think its a good sales point that major things break on a vehicle with under 30,000 miles. Otherwise, the truck looks and runs well.

Just Bought One With 216,000 - 1993 Ford F-150
By ajs1987 - June 17 - 1:21 amIve been reading these reviews, and I recently purchased a 93 F150 with 216,000 miles on it for $500. I knew going into this that it would need at least another $1,500 of work. Basically a major tune up (oil change/filter, belts/hoses, new universal joints, antifreeze). Some more of the items replaced were just precautionary to bring this truck a step up from where it was. I bought this from a guy who lives in California and drove it across the country several times. He also had a daily route to work of 100 miles back and forth. Since theres little humidity in California you wouldnt be able to tell from under the truck that it had so many miles. Virtually no rust.

Good So FAr - 2010 Ford F-150
By robbybutler - June 14 - 3:46 pmIm very satisfied with my Ford F150. I have taken a 600 mile trip, kids were comfortable and I average around 18-19 MPG. On the open highway 85 90 MPH is not a bad cruising speed in this truck. The rear seats legroom is plentiful, you can seat three across with no problem.

Smooth Transmission - 2010 Ford F-150
By dwr - June 10 - 6:20 pmI actually got an XLT with the 6.5 bed. One of the reasons I went with the 2010 was the 6spd transmission. I am glad I went with a new one over a 2yr old used one that I was looking at. You dont notice when the 6 spd upshifts even two gears. Very smooth. The cabin of the 10 is very large and you can fit three adults in back without any problems. The XLT models can be dressed up quite nicely without going all the way to a Lariat, I didnt care if I had leather or not so for me the XLT was fine. The upgraded Capt. chairs are very comfortable. The 5.4 should have enough power to tow what I want and the 6.5 bed will meet my needs.

Nice, but not as well built as my 2004. - 2010 Ford F-150
By BryanWJ3178 - June 3 - 9:03 pmI had dreamed of this truck for some time. And God answered my prayers! Love the truck, but it has issues. A few days after purchase, I noticed a blob of paint above the driver tail light. Came like that from the factory. Went round and round with Ford, I got an extended warranty for 75k miles and free oil changes. Whoop de doo, GM offers a better warranty standard. I have 1700 miles on it and already have 2-3 rattles. And the transmission shifts ROUGH into 3rd gear, almost like its going to break sometimes. Also, sync does not always recognize names. Other than that, I love the truck. This is my 5th F150, and might be my last. Ford could care less if I am satisfied though.
