Overview & Reviews
New packages this year include a Work Truck Group with argent bumpers and a vinyl bench seat, and a King Ranch Group with exclusive interior and exterior trim. A 4.2-liter V6 has been added as the base engine, along with a five-speed manual transmission.
- Exceptional ride and handling characteristics, attractive and functional interior designs, multiple cab and bed configurations, the most payload and towing capacity in the half-ton class.
- Feels sluggish even with larger V8, no available side airbags, not much interior storage space.

F150 Made me smile - 2005 Ford F-150
By Hinch0614 - October 30 - 11:40 pmExcellent Truck! I have had almost every model of Ford beginning with the Tempo. I traded a 2004 Ranger for this 05 F150 and havent looked back. Excellent cargo space, solid construction and virtually no road noise while driving it offroad or on. My only issue is that the 5.4L engine will wreck a gas tank quick. With prices as outrageous as they are, you will be looking at a $50+ tank close to once a week.

an awesome truck - 2005 Ford F-150
By luis a gonzalez - September 29 - 2:26 amBought this truck on 3/10/05 and I love it so far. Havent taken it on any long trips yet, just daily commuting to work, shop, etc. Love the styling in and out, gas mileage so far is 16.5 mpg, not great but this is one big and heavy truck. Smooth, comfortable, and very quiet on the highway, good sounding radio, fit and finish is great. 300 hp v8 is more power than Ill ever need.

Surprisingly high quality! - 2005 Ford F-150
By Shinbo - September 2 - 2:43 amThis was my very first truck that I have ever purchased. After researching and test driving all the competitors (Silverado, Ram, Tundra), I have absolutely no regrets about buying an F-150. The body style is attractive and burly. Ride is quite comfortable, and the overall quality just surpasses everything that I was expecting.

2005 F150 SuperCab 4x4 4.6L - 2005 Ford F-150
By Rick - August 22 - 1:50 pmIve owned 3 Audis in the past and this truck trumps them in ride comfort and quietness. Ive put 3,000 miles on it so far (Michigan winter) and am amazed on how stable it rode in snowy/icy conditions. No squeaks or rattles of any kind either. Ford spent a lot of money on developing this truck and it shows.

dream - 2005 Ford F-150
By Erik J - August 14 - 3:00 pmI have always wanted such a truck . I was very impressed with the design, comfort and performance . I voided the warranty the first year with 37,000 miles. I was nervous at first but two years later and another 30,000 miles I am still impressed. Even a minor accident was fairly priced to fix.The ultimate family truckster. I use it for everyday, camping trips and small loads so far. I even pulled my friends 30 foot boat out of the lake (mud season) with ease. As it gets older it will be working harder. A must for the famly man with a house.

By TONY - July 31 - 4:46 pmI like my Ford F-150 XLT; the comfort and the driving (handling). This does not feel like a truck when you are in it. I am glad I stuck with ford

My best truck ever - 2005 Ford F-150
By Gary Allen - July 22 - 11:26 amAfter owning 5 different Ford F150 pickups during the past 21 years, this is without a doubt the finest truck I have ever owned. Overall performance is unequaled, it is as quiet and comfortable as a car, and it is also as tough and solid as a brick. Simply put... the truck is exquisite!

Great truck! - 2005 Ford F-150
By Marc - July 18 - 9:20 pmOver all the truck is fantastic, offering a lot of room and plenty of options. It is with out a doubt the best ride Ive ever gotten out of a truck. I do think that Ford could have gotten a lot more out of that 4.6L V8 than they did. Specs rate it at around 230 HP, which I found surprising. But it still has plenty of power for every day driving and hauling needs. Fuel economy could be better, but with a large v-8 like that it actually performs really well in that department. I have gotten 20 MPG for highway use and average between 12-15 for city.

Love my truck - 2005 Ford F-150
By julia cancio - July 14 - 12:20 amWe looked at all the trucks in the market . Drove them all this truck is so quiet you can drive all day an never get tired. In the first week we put 2500 miles on it . My husband love it so much he got one too. The best thing about it was the day we test drove it and did a quick stop and the salesman hit the back of my seat. It stopped better than the Tundra; we almost hit a car in that test drive.
