Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Bought this dark blue beauty at the end of the year and got a super buy. Rock solid performance and comfort features galore. I pull a trailer and truck has hard time adjusting to steep downhill grades at low speed. Engine want to rev real load and first time is scary. Went to dealer and they told me this was normal. Biggest suggestion is you spend as much time selecting a dealer as yo do the vehicle. I drove 3 hours and bought a vehicle from a ealer who did not offer best price but there service and the way they treated me was well worth the cost. Had proplem with a flat tire and local dealer did not want to honor the nitrogen warantee. My dealer took care of it over the phone.

I have the Ford F-150, 5.4L with 260 horsepower. This truck is a excellent truck for everyday drives and purposes, it starts on the coldest days no matter how cold the day is and it can plow through snow like a mad machine, the only problem i had with this truck is the traction is not very good in the winter weather. The favorite thing i like to do with this truck is its great for drifting and havingfun also.

  • I LOVE this truck! - 2006 Ford F-150

this is my first full size truck and everything about it is amazing. It handles better than my 00 escort zx2,04 ranger, and husbands 10 civic si and 04 trailblazer! It is solid, smooth, and quiet. It easily pulls a 20 boat, & 3 horse trailer. the bed is a little small but Able to fit a 2010 rancher in the bed with extender and tie downs, can also haul 15 hay bales or a 5 round bale easily. Cab is very roomy, 63 hubby has no complaints, able to fit 2 adults, 2 kids, 2 80 lb dogs, 2 carseats and snacks easily! Handles great on every type of surface, or grade. Never needed any type of work, everything runs perfectly.

  • A++++ For the 2011 F-150 - 2011 Ford F-150

Im averaging 21.7 MPG with the new 3.7 V6. The engine has plenty of power for what Im using it for. Truck has been trouble free so far. The ride is good, quiet and handling is excellent.

FINALLY, Ford puts a work horse engine in the F150. The 6.2L is a monster in this truck. From the moment it starts, you know this truck means business. My first option for aftermarket was to run dual exhaust but the single side exhaust growl is amazing. And its tuned to be quiet at higher speeds. This truck has no problem pulling an 8,000 pound boat with a triple axle boat. Still trying to fine tune the trailer brakes controller. The Navigation is brilliant, easy to read, basically having a laptop pc in your truck. The display monitor in the gauge pod is outstanding. Very easy to use. So much tech on this truck it is amazing. Paint is better than my Lexus. Great ride!

  • Tapping engine sound in truck cab. - 2010 Ford F-150
    By -

Bought this truck in May 2010. about 5 months later, I start hearing a tapping sound coming from the engine compartment. I figure, no problem. Probably just need to adjust a lifter. I take it into the local Ford dealer and they tell me that Ford has a service bulletin on it. Ford is aware of the noise tapping problem and has determined that this is normal and wont harm the engine or its components. If I heard that tapping when I first looked at the truck, I never would have bought it. After calling Ford, the company refuses to repair or fix the tapping noise. I hope Im able to sell this truck now and convince a buyer that tapping from the engine compartment is "Normal" for Ford trucks.

  • Problems Every 10k Miles - 2006 Ford F-150
    By -

I bought my truck brand new in 2006 and right at every 10k miles up to my 70k mile mark I have had problems of every kind. If it wasnt the window controls on the driver side it was the CatCon going out and running me almost $2500. My truck has been good as far as getting from place to place but gas mileage is horrible, it used to get 450 miles to a 26 gal tank, now it barely gets 300 so be prepared for that. This is not a truck used for work or any kind of off-roading. The other thing that I cant stand is how the 4x4 works. You have to put it into nuetral to switch the 4x4 in, then you have to put it into drive then nuetral then reverse and then back into drive for it to kick in.

Love it! If 14-15 mpg doesnt bother you, then you will love this truck. Suspension, interior, sound system, the exhaust and THE ENGINE...everything is refined, smooth and very comfortable. Very spacious in every seat, huge floor space in rear seat, heated/AC seats front and rear, and all done in a soft leather. I have over 3000 miles on it so far and have no regrets. I have several GM trucks in our fleet, so i have plenty to compare....including a Denali. This one beats them all....easily. Best truck I have owned.

  • 1st Ford Ever and Love it - 2010 Ford F-150
    By -

I thought my dad might have a stroke when I bought this F150......Ive had many GM trucks and all had good luck, but decided to change. I really love this truck....got all the options moonroof, nav, rear camera, etc. I decided to get the max trailering packae w/ 3.73 gear and havent noticed any difference in mileage from several friends 3.55 gears. Seems to hold gears a little better. The 5.4 has plenty of power, but could use more (will be doing a programmer soon) just doesnt have the pep that my Chevy 6.2 has. It rides great and has tons of room and its perfect for me with family and a job that keeps me on the road. Will give the ecoboost a try when its been proven.

  • TRUE FORD QUALITY - 2008 Ford F-150
    By -

I had a 1998 F150 with the 4.6 engine and ext cab. It was an excellent truck. I absolutely never had any problems with the 1998. in 2008 I bought the F150 Lariat 4X4 with crew cab. I love this truck! I got a great end of the year deal on it and the truck has been wonderful. Ford dealerships take care of their customers. I upgraded the wheels to 20" chrome wheels, duel exhaust and matching rear fiberglass shell. I get tons of compliments and I love my truck. Test drove the Tundra and found it very nice with lots of power. I still preferred the quality, comfort and ride of the Ford.
