Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

  • This is a KEEPER - 2004 Ford F-150

I recommend the FX4 model, and the 18" wheels. This truck turns heads Big! The interior is great design. This is the 4th F150 (all different years) I have owned and they just keep getting better.

  • My Best Ride - 2004 Ford F-150
    By -

Since 1986 I have purchased a new vehicle every year. The new 2004 Ford F-150, for my needs & desires, has been the best of those purchases! The ride and handeling make it a pleasure to drive. The transmission is verry smooth and the fuel mileage, (although not sientific), seems to be as good or better than my friends who drive other makes of the same class. Im not a big fan of the fake wood trim, but aside from that, the interior is verry nice. The exterior has a clean crisp look that, I think, will hold its own for a few years to come. I am not suprised to hear that some people feel that this truck is sluggish. The ride in this truck is so good that I think you loose some sense of speed.

  • Very satisfied - 2001 Ford F-150
    By -

The F-150 Supercrew combines the best aspects of a light truck with a full size sedan. The styling is elegant, and equally adept parking at a fine hotel as it is hauling a load. It drives beautifully, is comfortable, and the engine is great. When driven at reasonable r.p.ms and\or speeds, the gas mileage is quite good! I couldnt be happier with my selection. Br

  • Good truck but stiff suspension - 2004 Ford F-150
    By -

Not a bad ride for a truck but the suspension is simply too stiff, I get shaken around quite a bit when driving on a not even so bad road. I test drove the Nissan King cab and I believe the ride is soo much better as well as the performance but the reason why I didnt want it is the constant engine and exhaust noise. The Ford is nice and quiet. Dissapointing is the fuel consumption, I dont get more then 350 miles out of my 26 gallon tank before the "low fuel" lights up. Overall, a good pacjage for the $$. I received a $7000 off MSRP!!

  • Awesome small turbo engine / good gas mileage - 2016 Ford F-150
    By -

The small twin turbo motor (2.7) is great---really good acceleration, responsive, and good gas mileage. So far, my gas mileage has been 21 - 22 MPG in combined highway and local driving reasonably conservatively---for true mileage calculate it yourself---the truck computer ends up displaying 2 - 5 miles per gallon more than you are really getting). Cabin is very quiet. Ride is quite comfortable, except when you go over bumps of course. Good seating position in the front---rear seats are better than I thought they would be---actually tolerable for adults of average height for short rides. Wish Ford would sell an accessory lockable gas plug for the truck. Alas, the huge annoyance with this truck is the auto-engine-off. Although Ford gives you an override button, deactivating the auto-engine-off is only good for one driving cycle, so you have to push it every time you get in the truck if you don´t want the engine shutting down every time you come to a stop. You might come to a stop for just one second, and the engine shuts down! Also, make sure you want a large truck---this thing is big.

  • Issue With Transmission Fluid Leakage - 2010 Ford F-150
    By -

Issue With Transmission Fluid Leakage = Automatic transmission seals replaced TWICE additionally (transmission fluid leakage around the transmission bulkhead connector sleeve which also had to be replaced). Jerking on gear changes service done to lubricate the draft shaft additionally I had the drive shaft coupler/boot replaced.

  • HOG Wild - 2001 Ford F-150
    By -

Everything I expected and more. The lowered supspension provides an excellent ride yet still has decent hauling capacity. The truck is fun to drive and has all of the creature feature found in upsacle sedans. I am very impressed with the quality of construction, fit and finish. 28 months and no problems. This is one vehicle I plan to keep for a long time.

  • Former GM Guy - 2001 Ford F-150
    By -

Ive had the vehicle for 2 years know, other than a sensor that had to be replaced, the vehicle has been excellent. Ive had Chevy trucks in the past and even got to drive a new 2003 Chevy, for a couple days, when they fixed my sensor...all I can say is anybody who drives a Chevy has definitely not driven a Ford lately. The difference between ride, handling and comfort is very obvious. The Fords road manners give a feel of control and stability. As far as the interior, the Fords are very comfortable with all the controls right where you want them. The 2003 Chevy (2 years newer than my Ford), looked ugly in comparison.Chevy is definitely behind the times.
