Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

  • F150 XLT 5.4L V8 - 2004 Ford F-150

Purchased my F150 XLT Supercrew two weeks ago. So far this is the most refined ride and best looking truck on the market. I looked at the dodge, nissan and toyota full size trucks and none compare to the F150. My best friend drives a new Dodge Ram and the ride is terrible, the turn radius is rediculous. Several posts compain that the engine is not powerful enough but the 5.4L V8 is very strong and the accelleration is very smooth, dont believe the hype.

  • Good Truck - 2004 Ford F-150

I really like my new F150. Dont thave anough miles on to comment on the durabiltity but my 97 wnet for 130K and still ran as new when traded. The new Ford has good power, good handling, hauls anything you could want to put on a trailer or in the bed and the interior is the best in the retail truck world! However, Ford will need to continually improve the quality control on some of the small stuff. Body panel alingment and finish is not much better than in the past. I know its not a Enzo, but for around $40K the doors shouldnt kick away from the rocker panel on the bottom and almost touch metal at the top.

  • OLD STYLE VS. NEW - 2004 Ford F-150

Bought this truck after much thought in giving up my Heritage sytle Lariat. Im still wondering if I made the right choice. New Lariat looks like a Dodge RAM in some respects. Some materials, both in and out, are chinsey/cheap. The beltline/bed is too high. Doors sound tinny and hollow when opening/ closing due to sheet metal wobble. No door mouldings to protect side. No Lariat pinstrip. Carpet and floor mats are thin. No Lariat logos on leather seats or mats. No silver metallic 2- tone paint/gray interior available for Lariat. Smaller front floorpans. Captain seats design/placement of seat belt tensioner is awful. Outside mirrors too big & not painted.

I have owned for 6 months, 1 recall for bed. At 2500 miles new rotors on front and at 10,500 new motor. 5.4 lower engine problem. Underpowered and terrible gas mileage. Last Ford for me since Im a business owner and breakdowns cost me time and money.

  • F150 7700 package - 2001 Ford F-150

This is the first new vehicle I have ever purchased. After selecting a white,F150XL 2dr LB model, I added on the 7700 payload package which increased my towing GVW to over 10000lbs. It included a 3.73 gear diff. I tow 2 horses regularly with no problems. Ive even towed a 15,000lb Skid Loader (Although that was a workout). Ive never had a single problem with this truck. The truck is plain durable. I figure about 12-15 MPG when towing a 5000lb horse trailer. Id still purchase this truck all over again unless I could afford to go diesel.

  • Family Truck - 2004 Ford F-150
    By -

This is the American family luxuary truck. I have tried all the the big three; chevy, dodge, toyota, and none of them attract my vision. This 2004 F150 is the one. It has everything I want. If you any of you are looking a luxuary truck, dont go any further. Ford is the one without the FX4 Pkge. It ride like a sedan. It has everything a driver need for a family of five. Nice job Ford!
