Overview & Reviews
New packages this year include a Work Truck Group with argent bumpers and a vinyl bench seat, and a King Ranch Group with exclusive interior and exterior trim. A 4.2-liter V6 has been added as the base engine, along with a five-speed manual transmission.
- Exceptional ride and handling characteristics, attractive and functional interior designs, multiple cab and bed configurations, the most payload and towing capacity in the half-ton class.
- Feels sluggish even with larger V8, no available side airbags, not much interior storage space.

Luxury Vehicle With A Bed - 2005 Ford F-150
By MIKE - December 7 - 12:00 amI didnt go to buy a King Ranch but when I sat in it I knew it was all over! Such a great ride and the attention to detail was just overwhelming! When you open all the windows and moon roof along with "power" rear window its like a rag top! Every thing gets a "10" with the exception of the gas mileage, but I knew that going in and its really no problem because this truck is a dream to drive. And I have never heard a better sound system! If you want to turn heads and feel like a "king" then try and find a Ford f150 King Ranch and buy it!

Best F-150 Yet - 2005 Ford F-150
By Michael - November 13 - 11:16 amThis is my 3rd F-150 since 1998 and each one just gets better. The ride is car like and interior better than most cars. The new exterior design is very attractive and packaged right, (I got the Texas package). Looks and feels good. Ford always seems ready to deal at the right price. I saved thousands over what Dodge or Chevrolet would even talk and got more truck. Size feels like a F-250 with the nimbleness of the 150. The quality keeps getting better. This is the best truck yet.

My Black Stallion F150 - 2005 Ford F-150
By Carl L. Triggs - September 30 - 10:26 pmI purchased my "Black Stallion" in Feb 2004. I still get a kick out of the driving the vehicle and still am amazed at how well behaved the truck and how quiet the cabin is. I have just completed a vacation road trip that was 2375 miles long and covered all types of road surfaces and conditions. My truck handled them all with equal grace and perfection. The engine delivers plenty of power and is more than willing to give that extra boost when needed for passing. The interior is no slouch either. I have the cream leather with the console mounted shifter. The sound system is audiophile quality and provides plenty of bass with the built-in bass module. Buy this truck and you wont look back!

great truck - 2005 Ford F-150
By paul - September 24 - 11:20 pmOnly had truck for 2 months; fun to drive, handles great, and the rack and pinion steering makes turning in parking lots and sharp corners effortless. Basic CD sound system is great. Also own 2000 Tahoe and drives much better than Tahoe - wont get rid of Tahoe though.

Awesome - 2005 Ford F-150
By Phil71185 - September 14 - 4:03 pmI just picked it up last week and all I can say is wow. I already loaded my 4-wheeler in it and took it out hunting with me. It had no problem at all climbing any of the hills or going down the logging trail that my 2001 Nissan had. Its also a lot better on gas than I thought it would be. 250 miles on it so far and just a little under half a tank left. Would recommend it to anyone. Its one awesome truck.

Great Truck! - 2005 Ford F-150
By david - August 24 - 1:40 pmIve owned a lot of trucks, this one is the best. The interior is getting better with age! Wish Ford could make an F-150 that gets 30mpg. My stock would go up and 20,000 people could still have jobs. Ford, Its all about mileage to play in todays world.

A great design! - 2005 Ford F-150
By Rob L - July 1 - 11:46 amI did a ton of research before I decided on this pickup, and let me say that it has been a great experience to own one. Build quality, handling, power and comfort have all lived up to expectations so far. I also like the feeling of safety I get from the front-end crash test that I saw on television last year. As an Emergency Responder, I can say that it was really impressive in that there was minimal passenger compartment compromise. As a family man, I really appreciate the safety features considered in this vehicle. I really wanted a 6.5 foot bed, but if you can live with a 5.5, this is one well-built product.

NICE and FUN, but not perfect! - 2005 Ford F-150
By james cook - June 12 - 10:10 amPlenty of room for yourself the wife and 2 kids. Looks and drives nice. One breakdown within 6 months. Manifold gasket leaked oil onto sensor and brakes went out. Other than that this truck drives well.

LOVE MY FORD F150 - 2005 Ford F-150
By MARTHA - June 6 - 10:43 pmI have had this truck for 8 months and love every inch of it. Well worth the money and it is just a beauty to drive and own. This makes my third truck and love it more than any vehicle I have ever owned. This is the 6th Ford truck in my family over the past 20 years. My dad and brothers drive Fords. After all -- is there any other truck out there?

Great Truck - 2005 Ford F-150
By SteveInVirginia - May 23 - 5:56 amWe bought our Ford F-150 Lariat 4 X 4 in December. We utilize the vehicle for hauling kids and around town use in addition to hunting and fishing excursions.
