Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Great Vehicle - 2003 Ford F-150
By stevet - May 17 - 2:00 amI love this truck! It is great for pulling our boat. (I got the 5.4L V8) Plenty of power, very reliable. Surprisingly capable off road. Not very good fuel economy, but fun to drive nonetheless. Exceptional vehicle, great styling!

Finally a 4-door truck - 2003 Ford F-150
By ChrisS - May 6 - 10:00 amIve been on the fence since this truck came out. I was looking forward to a 4-door truck, as the SUVs just couldnt do the dirty jobs that trucks can. I didnt want to spend the money, but with the new model coming out in 2004 I figured this was finally the time. I went all out and got the 5.4 with the complete towing package in lieu of the Lariat (S FL is too hot for leather anyway!). This truck is totally awesome, and everyone is impressed at how much room there is. You sacrifice a bit with only a 5 1/2 foot bed, but whats 6 inches!! If I wanted less people room and more bed (and a less powerful engine) Id have bought the Dodge!

Flying FX-4 - 2005 Ford F-150
By j.m. - May 3 - 1:00 pmI LOVE THIS TRUCK! I currently have 17743 miles on this truck, and so far so good. The performance is great; I get 16 miles to the gallon up the turnpike with my quad trailer on the back loaded with 4 quads and 2 dirt bikes, plus our 6000 pound camper trailer is barely felt on it. My friend has a Dodge with the hemi, sure the hemi is quick but that truck is a tin can, mine is a bank vault. No problems except the 6 cd changer has been replaced twice, but the Audiophile system is awesome. I have an 02 Continental as well that was supposed to be my car for cruising in but the truck is more comfortable. Way to go Ford for designing such good driving characteristics into such a beast!

ONE GRIPE - 2004 Ford F-150
By Aliasblue - April 24 - 2:00 amIt seems to me a bit cheap to order top of the line everything, and throw in a vinyl rear seat in the Lariat after ordering leather.

Happy Ford Owner - 2004 Ford F-150
By hdfatty - April 19 - 10:00 amThis is a nice Truck. Handles, Stops, Starts, all good. I bought it because my last 2 F150 ran without major problem up to 100K. I pray Henry made this ones as good.

Money Pit - 2004 Ford F-150
By WestCoastJeff - April 14 - 12:19 pmHas the worst engine Ford has ever manufactured. You will only get past 150k miles if you are extremely lucky. Mine has 130k miles, new engine just done, rear end is going out, rear power slider leaks and needs replaced, and transmission shifts erratically some times. Took it into Ford dealership when I was having trouble with the engine and they said thats just how fords run and drive. Well 2 weeks later threw a rocker arm and destroyed cam and bent valve. Please do your research and never buy a Ford with a 5.4l engine it not worth the risk unless you get one that has a re-engineered reman engine in it that addresses all the flaws.
