Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

a pickup that is second to none........ - 2016 Ford F-150
By Brad J - October 14 - 3:08 amI will be the first to admit I will be somewhat biased with the Ford F-150. Reason being I have owned an F-150 ever since I was able to drive. Nevertheless it must be stated the amount of improvement from 1995 to 2016 is unprecedented. I have also owned GM cars and trucks as a secondary vehicle over the years...and I have rented many cars due to my employment. Comparing vehicles in general you will be very happy with a 2016 F-150. It used to be only guys needing trucks would get a truck and rightfully so..this has changed. The 2016 F-150 handles well, rides decent, great interior, and overall a great looking truck. The one downfall when comparing to rivals is the infotainment system. I hate it. I live with it however because everything else is second to none when it comes to rivals. The engine choice I went with is the 2.7-I went with this engine choice as I sometimes need to tow and haul yet this truck is also my daily driver. I needed an engine that would be middle of the road when it comes to being practical. I do NOT regret picking this engine. I have had other V-8s from Ford and the 3.5 Ecoboost. The 2.7 is a great middle ground pick. Great horsepower, mileage and when I need the power it is there. It also must be said the 2.7 is amazingly quiet and smooth. If you have liked the 3.5 Ecoboost from Fords previous generation you will love the 2.7 engine. I will say however if you tow serious weight-the 3.5 will still be the way to go. For the rest of us I cannot say enough great things about the 2.7. Forget the V8 is what I say--however--I have had friends tell me (the ones that cannot bring themselves getting a V-6 in a pickup) the V8 is a great engine. The aluminium I thought would bother me, but I have to be honest-I do not notice a difference-other than the truck handles better, gets better mileage and still holds up to heavy duty applications. All in all you cannot go wrong with picking the 2016 Ford F-150. This is a great truck!

Ford Tough - 2004 Ford F-150
By Triton - October 1 - 10:00 amGood overall value. The 5.4 is definatly worth the extra money. Best mpg is 18, worst 16.5. The new suspension is awesome. It takes the bumps and pot holes like they are not even there. Towing lighter loads is no problem. Ive towed 2000 pounds and didnt notice it was there. I like the fact Ford put beefier springs and shocks back into their trucks.

Slightly Dissappointed - 2004 Ford F-150
By dissappointed - October 1 - 10:00 amOverall, the truck has a great exterior styling. But the 4.6L V8 is sluggish even in the regular cab. Im actually afraid to tow a car and trailer behind it due to the lack of low end torque and power. Im not too impressed with the doors as well for the rear hinged door has already developed a rattle in the first two weeks of owner ship. The ride of the truck is exceptional, I have no complaints there. Interior is adequate for a truck. It fantastic for highway use and for putting stuff in the large bed. But for towing purposes forget it!!!!

2008 F150 - good but a very rusting truck - 2008 Ford F-150
By Chris - October 1 - 8:11 amBought truck brand new. Has always been and continues to be a very smooth and quiet truck - more like a luxury car. Good stable handling as well. Lots of room inside and in the bed and great for towing and good in the snow. Mechanically has been very good. However, rust has been a relatively serious issue. The steering rack was the first to go - rusted out and got very stiff and erratic to steer. Had to replace that and was very rusty. The second was much more serious. The transmission cooling lines rotted out. They let go just after I got home from a long trip to Nova Scotia with my elderly father. There was fluid on the ground the day after I came home. We could have been stuck in the middle of the night in the middle of no where. We were fortunate, but cost me about $900 to fix. Checked the underside and there was a lot of rust on the frame and especially the bed rails. Not very happy about that. Ive been spending a lot of time sanding, priming and painting the frame and rusty areas of the underside. Im also using the 3M rust fighter undercoating as well. Its costing a lot of time and money, but Im hoping it gives me a lot more years with the truck. Dont want another car payment! Looked at the underside of my wifes 2006 Toyota Sienna and noticed that it was undercoated from the factory and hardly any rust. Maybe Ford ought to consider that or they wont get any return buyers. If I get another truck, Ill be looking strongly at Toyota.

My Black Stallion F150 - 2005 Ford F-150
By Carl L. Triggs - September 30 - 10:26 pmI purchased my "Black Stallion" in Feb 2004. I still get a kick out of the driving the vehicle and still am amazed at how well behaved the truck and how quiet the cabin is. I have just completed a vacation road trip that was 2375 miles long and covered all types of road surfaces and conditions. My truck handled them all with equal grace and perfection. The engine delivers plenty of power and is more than willing to give that extra boost when needed for passing. The interior is no slouch either. I have the cream leather with the console mounted shifter. The sound system is audiophile quality and provides plenty of bass with the built-in bass module. Buy this truck and you wont look back!

Loving the Lariat - 2015 Ford F-150
By Matt Reymundo - September 30 - 12:00 amAfter looking and researching for a new full size pick up, we came decided on the 2015 ford lariat supercrew. This truck is a beast, and drives like a car. The ecoboost is surreal and when in sport mode it allows you to feel like your driving a muscle car. The Lariat does not disappoint...!
