Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Great so far. - 2003 Ford F-150
By m1tommy - March 12 - 10:00 am03 F-150 XL seems to be a great replacement for the tired old 89 Toyota pickp. All(wife, 2 boys and myself) ride in comfort, room to in the back to spare. Trips are nice as the front seats have adjustable lumbar support on both sides. While it "just" has the 4.2 liter ( cipher about 252 cubic inches)and 5-speed manual tranny, theres more than enough power for me. I wont hesitate to pull a day-sailer or folding camping trailier, should one come our way. The Sport package added decent seating, a tachometer, nicer tires and wheels and exterior goodies, seating difference alone is worth the adder. I hope Ford keeps the "truck" in their 2004 designs!

John - 2005 Ford F-150
By John - March 10 - 2:33 amI bought this 2004 model F-150 as a replacement to my 2001 F-150 and am very pleased with the 04 model year. I really liked my 01 but it got hit in a wreck and had to be replaced. Would I recommend the 2005 models, darn sure would.

2004 F150 FX4 - 2005 Ford F-150
By iceman - March 9 - 10:43 amStepped up from my 98 Dodge Dakota 5.2l 4x4. This F150 is smooth and quiet. Tows great, lots of low rpm grunt. Where the Dodge was screaming rpms to get up hill the F150 pulls at 2000 rpm like a dozer. It also gets great gas mileage compared to the 5.2 liter Dakota. To date with 10k miles truck has been trouble free.

1992 F150 XLT Supercab 5.8L - 1992 Ford F-150
By JLMcDaniel - March 6 - 5:02 pmGood power from 5.8L engine, but poor fuel economy (12-14 mpg city/hwy). Comfortable front captains chairs, rear seat very uncomfortable for adults. Replaced both fuel pumps (dual tanks), and rare situation of a intake manifold bolt rusting in two resulting in a coolant leak at 43,000 miles required removal of cylinder head to extract portion of bolt. No other problems.
