Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

96 F-150 XL 4x4 - 1996 Ford F-150
By rainbowracer93 - December 11 - 9:50 pmWas my first vehicle, passed down from my dad. Had the bullet-proof 300 inline 6, which made very little power, but never left me stranded. Only maintenance I ever had to do was tires, brakes, an oil, the thing was built like a tank. MPGs in the low teens, which is bad considering its lack of power and a V8. 4x4 worked well, although it became a chore to get into low range. Overall a good ole boy solid truck, would buy one again if ever ever in the market for a pickup.

Unstoppable Beast - 2010 Ford F-150
By shaun5r - November 20 - 7:31 pmThis truck is wicked. Drives over everything with ease at all kinds of speeds. Medians, curbs, fallen trees, sand berms, The functionality is so impressive. It catches everyones eye, and teenagers hang out their parents minivan to take a picture of it on the highway! So far, max speed of 75mph off road in sand with full off-road, rear-locked, 4x4, and just simply [violative content deleted]. People have called it: wicked, awesome, menacing, mean, bad ass. Two drawbacks. Slow transmission shift. Very slow delay and its very annoying to try and time acceleration around traffic. (passing) Also, one of the speakers is blown out after 4 months of owning it new. Covered by ford!

Very Upset With Ford - 2011 Ford F-150
By montana63 - October 22 - 10:17 pmI have an F150 I bought 16 months ago and I loved the truck until the miles til empty start gaining and losing about 50 miles and the fuel gage started moving back and forth, and the information software has been restored then replaced. But the final straw was when I was driving down the road and the truck shut down. As its under warranty, I took it back to Ford and the throttle body was replaced on a truck that is only 16 months old and have less than 20,000 miles on it. I have been a faithful Ford customer for more than 20 years but my faith has been shaken recently. Has anybody else had this problem?

Problems - 2007 Ford F-150
By 2007ford - October 14 - 12:30 pmI bought this truck 4 years ago and I had only one problem and the dealership doesnt hear it. When I start from a cold start not everytime but most of the time the truck hesitates, makes a clicking noise and then a loud pop. After that it takes off and wont do it again the rest of the day. The popping sounds like it is coming from the hubs but with the hesitaten I wonder if it is the motor or transmission but they cant get it to do it so they wont break nothing down to check it any suggestions.

sat-is-fied - 2007 Ford F-150
By ameriicana - September 25 - 5:49 pmMe and my husband went to Roberts Chevrolet after seeing a good deal online. When we went to the dealership they got us a much better price on the truck, and a low interest rate. We love the truck. There was a problem with the door sticking out like it wasnt latching properly. We told the dealership and they said they would fix it no problem.

Best Truck on the Market! - 2011 Ford F-150
By autoterry - September 17 - 8:28 amThe below is ranked from the bottom up. I looked at all the Trucks out there. Toyota was plain and not worth the value, there high marks are over rated. The Nissan was pretty cool but the model has not been update since 2004 so it seemed dated. The GM line was very nice but a tad plain in styling on the Exterior and Interior, but a great truck! The Dodge was a close second and the ride was awesome, great exterior and interior. But the Ford came out on top. Hot styling, great interior, High Technology in a truck package! Overall the best Truck on the Road with a very high quality of fit and finish! Quiet and a decent ride quality. Plenty of power and proving to be great on mileage .

Great Truck - 2000 Ford F-150
By snyderjam - September 12 - 8:00 pmI bought this truck new in 2000. V6 5speed. Its now almost 12 yrs old and what a ride. I will have 200,000 miles on it this month and the only things that I had to have had to fix, besides routine maintenence- Fluid changes, Brakes and Tires- are the water pump and the ignition coil. The v6 with the manual tranny has plenty of power and dose great on the highway. If you need a good dependable truck, this is the one.

Ford F-150 Window Regulators - 2004 Ford F-150
By kraftypam - August 28 - 4:41 pmI have enjoyed my Ford since I purchased it new in 08/05 for the most part. However, I am completely frustrated with Fords response to my complaints about what obviously is a flaw in the window regulators that were installed in this year and make. I have replaced all 4 regulators/front and rear and Ford has accepted no responsibility. (replaced 2 in 2008, 1 in 2009, and 1 in 2011) After searching the internet for similar complaints it appears the problem with the 2004 Ford F150 Supercrew is wide spread and Ford will do nothing. $2000 in window repairs later, I will now consider a Chevy as my next truck purchase. Ford has let me down by not standing behind their product and manufacturing.

Amazing Truck - 2011 Ford F-150
By joe1955 - August 20 - 1:50 pmThe truck was purchased new and now has 7,700 miles. The amazing features of this truck are its efficiency and power. Average mpg is 22.5 combined city and highway. Highway mileage has hit 26.2 mpg. Although the truck is a basic work-truck model, getting the 8 foot bed was well worth it ($300 extra), and so was the premium sound system. The ride is very smooth and the cabin is quiet. We traded in a PT-Cruiser for this truck, and the mileage is nearly identical, but the power is much greater. The truck is amazing.
