Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

F-150 Comparison to a Chevy TrailBlazer - 2003 Ford F-150
By Magpiper - October 6 - 10:00 amPreviously I owned a 2002 Chevy TrailBlazer SLT. I found towing my 16ft. aluminum boat on a steep grade to be rather poor with the (15.8 MPG Hwy) 5.4 ltr V8. Chevys 4.2 inline 6 cylinder would have dragged this boat to the top while accelerating. I also found the Lariat package of my F- 150 to be rather lack luster. No heated seats nor the simplisity of a pocket on the back of the front seats. Theres no storage room! For the price of this vehicle and the top-of-the-line Lariat package, it should have been much more.

Great Replacement F150 2014 - 2014 Ford F-150
By Dave Kammerer - October 5 - 8:42 amI owned a 1981 F150 for 36 years. I had 337,000 miles and still going strong. It was the three speed on the column shiftier with an inline six engine. I decided to upgrade to 2014 F150 XL Regular Cab V-8 with 5.0 engine. I bought one with a full size bed (8x 4). This vehicle is outstanding. I travel every day and it provides me with dependability as well as comfort. I get 13 -15 miles per gallon in the city and 20-22 on the highway. It has kept me safe and it has been a work horse so far. I am enjoying the features that my former 1981 F150 didnt have available. I choose this over the current F150 (2015 - 2017) as this has a steel bed. It gives me all the features that make my job easy. It has good acceleration and handles good at higher speeds. I plan to keep this one for a while. My family and friends are in shocked that I would upgrade but are proud of me for getting a great newer truck. The ironic part of this upgrade was that I went to a Chevy Dealer and bought this truck for a great price. I would recommend this model to anyone who wants reliability, dependability, stability and comfort in one vehicle.

Noisey Serpentine Belt - 1999 Ford F-150
By captainb - October 4 - 2:00 amSo far so good. Great ride, decent mileage, good looking, and am satisfied. My only complaint is a noisey serpentine belt. It started making this horrible noise one day, that sounded like lifter noise. My mechanic smeared some silicon goo on the belt and it istantly stopped making the noise. Now I have my own tube of silicon goo (A grease I think)and every couple weeks I pop the hood and smear a little goo on the belt and ride in the quiet Im used to. Anybody have a real fix for this problem ? Do you suppose an aftermarket belt would solve the problem ? Or would a OEM replacement work ? Or would I have the same old problem ?

WOW - New King Ranch 4WD Supercrew - 2016 Ford F-150
By Doug - October 3 - 2:35 pmIll start by saying I rarely write reviews for anything, but this truck is really exceptional. I have researched all the competitors for months, and have owned many trucks in the past (Avalanche, Silverados, just came out of a 2014 Expedition). Let me say Ford really nailed it with this truck! It is beyond comfortable, easy to drive, the technology is just amazing, and it looks fantastic. The Ecoboost engine is unbelievably quick (Edmunds did not have a selection for a King Ranch Ecoboost for the review). Just towed my 24ft camper with it easily. My only wish is although I love the full sunroof I would have preferred an option for a smaller one to be able to put in an overhead DVD player, but thats very minor. The rear seats fold up with one touch and the fold flat floor is great. The massaging seats really sold my wife on it. Showed it off to family and they were simply amazed. Would like to see Ford incorporate the coil springs like the Ram but the ride is really decent, not at all as jittery as many reviews make it sound. The Avalanche had a great ride and this is very comparable. Dont hesitate to buy this truck, no other comes close.

F-150 FX4 - 2005 Ford F-150
By JLA - October 3 - 9:16 amThis is a do all type truck. It has the looks of a luxury SUV on the inside and the rugged go anywhere 4WD look on the outside. It serves as a pseudo "mom-mobile" but dad still looks cool towing a boat. And if you need to haul a load of anything it does the job as long as it is not too big.

Expected Lots more from this clunky V8 - 1992 Ford F-150
By phish - September 30 - 2:00 amOverall, its your basic work truck. I wouldnt travel cross country with it, but if you have short distances to drive everyday and dont mind spending some cash for upkeep its worth the money. It has never broken down, but has been in the shop 8-10 times over the last year. The braking has been a mystery to me and to Ford dealerships as well. It pulls to the right, to the left, sometimes not at all. Also, it seems that anything under the hood that comes in contact with coolant, has had problems: heater core, water pump, weak hoses, you name it, its gone wrong.

Ford Convert from Dodge - 2004 Ford F-150
By 4x4bully1 - September 30 - 2:00 amUpon deciding to buy the Ford, I had a hoorible start due to a faulty 4WD actuator on the first day of driving the truck. The dealer has been fantastik and has it ready to give back to me. On the service line, I was told the only reason the new 04s are in service has been for oil changes. The clanking noise mine made really stumped them at first. A bad hub was first diagnosed but that did fix the problem. Next they discovered the vacuumed actuated diaphragm was not fully retracting, thus causing the splines to bang together in 2WD. Since this was a simple fix, we are taking delivery again with great hopes all goes well.
