Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Great Truck, Great Motor - 2016 Ford F-150
By Chuck Freeman - October 26 - 9:52 amIm a very discriminating consumer and hold manufacturers to account for what they produce vs. their claims. Ive put 7500 miles on my new F-150 and at this point the experience has been great. I had one front tire that lost a chunk of tread somehow but Ford replaced the tire quickly. The 2.7 V-6 twin turbo motor is probably the highlight of the truck. Im averaging 19.8 mpg to date with about a 50/50 mix of hwy vs. in town driving. This motor has great acceleration off the line and at speed, hit the gas at 70 and pass with ease. Really Amazes me how well this motor performs. Kudos to Ford Engineering. Iv read some other review where people are having problems with Auto Start/Stop, but mines worked flawlessly and is pretty amazing, nice they have a button to deactivate if youre in stop and go traffic. --- Great driving truck all around and Im really happy I chose the Super Crew as the back seat area is great for cargo with the seats up. Incredibly spacious. -- happy at this point, highly recommend.

Mephisto - 1990 Ford F-150
By hoss - October 24 - 2:00 amI Purchased a 1990 ford F-150 Picup in may of last year. though My truck is not the greatest it is alot of fun to drive. the fuel economy is very poor however that is a result of poor maintenance and mistreatment. The body is in excellent shape for a 13 year old truck. the only problems I have had with my driveline were self inflicted. And even though the truck sucks gas and eats all of my money i am quite pleased with its overall performance and handling.

Reliable work truck - 1992 Ford F-150
By RodVanBeek - October 24 - 2:00 amAt 144,000 I still have not had an engine problem - it still runs like new. I had to replace the transmission at 130,000 miles, but I do tow a heavy trailer all the time, so I think thats to be expected. In fact, my trailer is heavier than this truck is rated for, and the truck seems fine with this! Everything electrical is still working fine. I had to replace the serpantine belt at around 70,000 miles. It currently needs a new exhaust manifold, as it has cracked and is making noise, but no big deal. Overall, this truck has been more reliable than I expected it to be.

Great, Solid Truck - 2003 Ford F-150
By gregor - October 22 - 2:00 amI sold an anemic Land Rover as I was tired of the poor mileage and awful reliability and the Ford has been fantastic so far. I have the 5.4 engine for towing and the power is great but even better is that Im getting 15 city and 18 highway, which, while not amazing in itself is far better than the Rover (13 highway) or the Dodges (12 highway). That 6 mpg is a 50% increase. The crew cab is fantastic and offers way more back seat room than the Rover and now I can carry dirt bikes in the back which obviously wasnt an option before. The truck can cruise easily at 80-90 and the cabin is extremely quiet.

Nice looks bad engine - 2002 Ford F-150
By Jason1973 - October 20 - 3:46 amActually I have a 98 F-150 but everything is the same on the 2002s I like the looks of my Ford F-150 but Im experiencing what Ford calls piston slap and Ford would not do anything about it. Learn your lesson from me and dont buy a truck for its looks because when I start it up in the morning it sure sounds like a ugly truck. Do your research to see if the problem was fixed.

Great Truck - 2006 Ford F-150
By mkdive - October 15 - 8:26 amI have nothing but great things to say about my truck. It doesnt get the best gas mileage in the world, but heck...its a Super Crew 4x4, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? I think the ride is superior to other trucks I test drove. And I love the interior. All in all I am 100% happy with my purchase. I bought mine during the "Family Plan" promotion....I bought it for about $10k less than some of my friends bought theirs for (same truck same options)!

Reliable 1999 Lariat - 1999 Ford F-150
By pbos - October 14 - 2:00 amOne-owner truck. No problems to date other than a turn signal stalk replaced under warranty during the first month of driving. 5.4l engine pulls boats, etc. very well though, stock rear springs are too weak. Bed sags terribly with load of only one pallet of sod. Consider purchasing helper springs if you haul heavy loads.
