Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Good Truck, but watch for the service - 2000 Ford F-150
By ALS9900 - December 4 - 2:00 amGood truck but I was unfortunate that my standard transmission shifting gears went bad after the first year when I had 10,000 miles. Worse than that was to deal with the service department when they told me that there was nothing wrong with the truck and it was in my mind only. I had to finally contact the the head supervisor to see my problem(it was obvious). The problem was addressed and fixed. I have not had any more problems since.

The not so reliable F-150 - 1997 Ford F-150
By rdleisey - December 3 - 2:00 amI purchased my F-150 new in 02/97. To date I have spent over $4000.00 in maintenance and repair costs at my local ford dealership. After sinking $2800.00 in the truck over the last 40,000 miles and then having starting problems I was told that the head gasket on the truck was blown and it would need a new engine at a cost of 0ver $3500.00. So, buyers beware, not all ford F-150s are created equal.

By shaggydog - December 1 - 2:00 amOver all it is an ecellant truck except for the rear quarter panels are bad for rusting.Perhaps better material woould have made a difference. The only problem mechanically is the starter sticks and the idle sensor needs replacing.

The SuperCrew rocks! - 2003 Ford F-150
By Seebee65 - November 29 - 10:00 amWe love this truck! We bought it in Dec. 2002, and have 6000 miles on it. It seats 6 comfortably, rides well (for a truck), 4WD works great in snow, loose dirt and gravel, and has bed capacity to haul sofas, refrigerators, recliners, boards, etc. The optional bed extender is handy. No problems with the truck whatsoever. The power is plenty adequate for whatever I will haul or tow. It is so much more luxurious than anything we have owned before, and light-years better than the 2000 Dodge QuadCab we had. We paid $27.5K for it including the tow package and some other goodies, a bargain in my book for a truck that looks this good and works this well.
