Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

The quietest truck Ive ever been in. The motor tachs up slowly but the speedometer needle turns suprisingly quick. Smooth ride. Love it. It is a gas hog, though. Feels solid and confident in turns, wet roads, and snow.

after six years and over 146,000 miles my f150 supercab looks and runs great. only minor repairs of normal wear and tear. engine and tranny are still as smooth as the day i bought it. overall, great fit and finish. this is my fourth ford truck and its by far the best Ive ever had. my next truck is definitely a ford.

ford has really done it this time. i owned a toyota tundra previously and fords new design has touched on a lot of the toyota quality. when ford says quality is job one, they are not lying. this truck exudes style, i love the drive, the retro interior and to be honest there is not a thing about this truck that i dont like. watch out competitors with fords up and coming lineups they are going to be on top of the world.

I bought this truck used with 60,000 miles on it. Now after two and half years and around 122,000 on the odometer I had nothing exept the scheduled mainanence. What else could you add to it?

  • Never buy a new model the first year! - 2005 Ford F-150

The body is a piece of junk. Door trim tore off because of missalignment. Both rear doors have ripples in the steel. Looks like an accordian. Box has paint bubbles. Key sticks in ignition most of the time. Locking rearend had to have clutch pack replaced. (chatter when turning) Transmission never shifts the same. First shift is either jerky or real jerky. Dealer said there was no problem. Heated seat quit working. Some things have been fixed under warrenty, but wavey doors and paint bubbles are still to be repaired. I know it will not ever be as good as it should be, after body work.

Beware of fuel pump and fuel tank roll over valve replacements, very expensive (have to drop tanks). Standard 351 V-8 with 195 HP has little real towing power and sucks lots of gas.

  • Good truck - 1997 Ford F-150

Good overall truck, had a few probs initially but it was used so I dont exactly how the previous owner handled the truck

  • Its all good! - 2015 Ford F-150

This is a very good basic pickup. If you want super luxury youll need to spend a few dollars more.
