Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

  • Long time Ford owner, not impressed - 2004 Ford F-150

Well, Ive driven my new F-150 about 10,000 mi. since Dec.03. This truck has problems: 1: With humidity or rain, the truck "self-accelerates" Yes, thats right like from 60mph, all of a sudden it is going 80. Ford acknowledged they had a problem but no repair for it yet 2: After a carwash, hard to start 3: Rattles everywhere. Brake pedal has a really annoying rattle, the leather back seat vibrates against the window, and the drivers window squeals when it goes down. 4: The truck is a $37,000 truck and it came with cheap-ass tires. No Goodyears like my 97 had which got 108,000 miles on the first set.

I really like my F 150 and have believed that Ford has always produced a superior truck. However, to my surprise, shortly after the warranty expired, I have had to replace the rear axle seals and a tie rod end which happened to shear off and punch through the drive side rim at 5 kilometers per hour (good thing I wasnt travelling any faster. Surprise, FORD has yet to recall this vehicle for this problem. I have been told by numerous TOW TRUCK operators that this SAFETY Concern is a common occurrence.

Use the truck as a truck to haul hay etc. also commute daily in it to work as well as 4wD for fun occasionally. No problems so far. Feels safe and powerful. Mileage is about 14.5 overall, not bad for a 5.4 V8. Good lighting at night. Stops fast for a truck, I have the optional 4W discs.

Great truck except the V6 engine blew at 85000 miles. Head gasket or intake gasket leaked water into one cylinder causing hydraulic lockup. Piston broke and rod went through the oil pan.

Best design and truck load of fun. This truck, mine, is one durable beast. Besides the sharp appearance, it is a true truck. Mom and Dad ove the look and strenght it offers, as we tow our boat state wide or cruise / shop.

Ive only had the truck since 11/02, bought it with 18k has about 22k now and I have nothing but praise for ford! This truck runs and drives great and the v-6 has plainty of power for what I need it to do and gets the same mileage as some 4 cyl. compacts. I had a 98 x- cab 5.0 4x4 chevy before this and wish I had driven a ford before I bought it! Nothing has broke off, come apart, rattled or just not worked! Cant say that for the chevy! Also this is the best riding truck Ive ever been in! An american truck with Toyota Quality

I bought my 94 F-150 December 23, 1993, and I wouldnt trade it in on a new vehicle if you paid me to! I have 77,000 miles on it, and had the automatic AOD transmission rebuilt at around 60,000 miles. Other than that, the truck has had no mechanical problems aside from regular maintenance. I would definitely recommend this truck to anyone interested in buying a used truck.

  • good truck - 1994 Ford F-150

Have had a good experience with the truck. The truck looks aggressive and has a classic design. The 302 sounds really good with glaspacks on it. The previous owner was pretty rough with it, so the bed is starting to have a few rust spots. Fuel economy is decent, if I keep my foot out of it. Most of the repairs done stem from previous owners abuse. Replaced brakes, master cylinder, fixed some body damage. Very good drivability, with good acceleration and handling. I love my truck!
