Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

  • Cant think of life without it - 1993 Ford F-150

I bought this truck new in 1992 with 11 miles on the odometer. Outside of some basic repairs like the water pump, mufflers, shocks, warped brake rotors it has been flawless in its reliability. The old venerable 302 lives up to heritage. The bench seats are a little uncomfortable on long hauls. My dad is still amazed 10 1/2 years later how quiet this truck is and how well it rides down the road.

I purchase this truck about 5 months ago and am definately impressed. I love the endless compliments I receive on the interior and exterior looks. We just a foot of snow and ice and my truck handled beautifully. Honestly, I didnt even need the 4 wheel drive the majority of the time. And as far as the fuel efficiency, it does really well compared to my friends who have a similar Ram and Chevy truck. I love me truck.

The 60/40 seat style is right out of the 50s as are the springs bounciness. However easilly fixable with quality bucket seats via after market. Weak rear Axle needed replacing by 30,000 mi. Otherwise, pure pleasure Ill keep till the wheels fall off.

Our truck has never been in the shop except for routine maintenance. Vacation with the truck in Colorado and have been very impressed with its 4WD and going over very rough mountain passes. We live on a acreage and have used the truck to pull up trees, haul dirt, ect. (would of made a forign truck cry). Comfortable ride.

Make sure to have the tailpipe moved behind the rear passenger wheel or your cap on the back tire will start to turn green. I have turned many friends and family members to the Ford F-150 and they have been singing the praises since moving from Dodge and Chevy!

  • Undesided Dodge or Ford (Ford won) - 2004 Ford F-150

I had a 1989 F-150, When I traded it in it had 283,000 miles on it with nothing more than nomal maint. M y son purchased a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 reg. cab with a Hemi. I used it one weekend for a 700 mile trip to decide if I wanted to buy one, I was not impressed buy the ride, build or the "Hemi". I decided to look again at the F-150. I wasnt impressed buy the misleading rebate game I puchased the truck and I really like it. I hope I get the life out of this truck aswell as the 1989. The truck seems more like a car in ride comfort, style and perfomance, as nice to drive as my Lincoln LS. Glad I bought it. Anthony Lombardo

My new F-150 is the quitest pickup truck i have ever been in, The ride of this vehicle is excellent the best of any 4 wheel drive i have driven. The V-8 engine is the only overhead cam engine offered by an AMERICAM truck builder. Ford also has a better computersystem than any automobile manufacture. I am a proponent of BUY AMERICAN so the only choice i had was Ford or Chevrolet and Ford beats Chevrolet hands down.

  • What a truck! - 1999 Ford F-150

Great truck, lots of power in the 4.6 liter V8, had a red truck so i got a lot of looks in it, and it was very mechanically sound with no major problems in the 80,000 miles i owned it. Got hit in the passenger side by a minivan, but nobody got hurt thanks to the high ride height and the truck took all the impact, I felt very safe in it.
