Overview & Reviews
The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.
The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. Fords Performance Pick-up - 2002 Ford F-150
By Indiana_Jones - June 6 - 10:00 amThe most performance made pickup ever made is an extreme pleasure to own and drive. The engineering is outstanding, all the way from the engine, transmission, drive train & suspension. What a thrill to drive. Gauranted to raise your heart rate when you stomp down on the gas. Blow away Corvetts and Mustangs off the line.

8k miles on my 2016, flawless - 2016 Ford F-150
By jd - June 5 - 10:43 amI looked at most other trucks, owned a F250 crew diesel shortbed in the past, must say, this beat it out. quite, smooth, great acceleration, roomy, all the technology gizmos you could ever think of. Easy to get in and out of, very comfortable for long rides, 700 miles out of a take of fuel, kids love the space in the back. Have not towed with it, but the power is amazing for a 6 or 8 for that matter. very responsive throttle. I got rid of my X6 BMW and got this truck. No regrets. 5.6 sec 0-60, just a smig slower than the x6 with 500 HP. Better MPG than the BMW too.... love the truck.....

Ford enginereed the 2004 FX4 perfectly - 2004 Ford F-150
By Beenie - June 2 - 10:00 amI have to tip my hat to the engineers that designed the 2004 FX4 regular cab truck. I have bought a lot of new vehicles over the years, and this is the best designed vehicle I have bought. You may not believe it, but it is better designed and the quality is as good, if not better than the brand new 1976 Corvette I bought years ago. This is an AWSOME TRUCK. This is the vehicle Ive waited for. If you test drive it, you will most likely buy it. This truck is not the old and boring style that Ford stuck with for too many years and it is also nice to have that H/P we had in the late 60s-early 70s. Ford proved to me it made the best truck this year!

F-150 XLT Supercrew - 2002 Ford F-150
By PaulKirchhofer` - May 31 - 2:00 amDrives great. Ive got the 2WD 4.6L V8 and it could use a little more power. Of course it is a gas guzzler as all large trucks are. No complaints. My F- 150 had a dealer installed moonroof which was wired incorrectly and I had to bring it back to get that fixed and they didnt do it correctly and ended up wiring it wrong again and a couple of months later the windows went out. This was all due to the dealer wiring the moonroof incorrectly in the first place.

Overall good truck had a few glitches - 1999 Ford F-150
By Pickem Up Ed - May 30 - 9:19 am4 speed auto tranny slips and clunks when shifting up a hill on occasion.. Replaced fuel pump, serpentine belt pulley and adjustor mechanism. Major brake issues were solved after 10 yrs. old after $2,000 spent. Heater air conditioner temperature control replaced. Had leaking rear slider window replaced. Still got original spark plugs and coils on engine. To give this truck more power and acceleration I recommend a cat back dynaflow exhaust system be installed! I love the engine sound! But I do love the ride, comfort in the cab with ample head room. I bought this truck new in Nov. 1998 for $22,000 even though I had glitches I like the truck overall I have a cap on the bed and do no towing just light hauling every now and then.

4.2 6 cyl. not the best ford has made - 2000 Ford F-150
By bob cracthet - May 29 - 2:00 amI like the truck over all. At 48k the motor blew. Spun bearing, bent rod, and bent valves. Ford put new one in and it blew the same day under their care. I have had the third one in for about 1k and no problems yet.I have had to put a new catalytic converter and the cross member on the trans. The gears need to be lower especially in 1st. But if I buy another it will be v8 and auto. Good truck, still rather have a GMC!
