Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

  • Ford the best built, best looking truck - 1999 Ford F-150

My 1999 F-150 Lariat S/C flareside has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. The truck has 79,000+ miles on it and has not had a wrench touch it other than regular oil and filter changes, and tire rotation. I have the 4.6 litre engine which has plenty of power for my needs. It has the limited slip rearend and I get 18 mpg on highway. I hate to see Ford change the body style in 2004. Ive seen the new body style and dont like it compared to the 1997 through 2003 body style. I would like to buy a new 2003 Lariat 4x4 crewcab before all of them are sold. They are the best looking truck on the road by far.

I purchased this pickup hoping to get at least 20 MPG and this has been a disappoinment. The best I have ever gotten is 18 MPG going downhill. Other than that it has been a great truck. I like the handling and its performance. Has plenty of power for what I need. Just wish it got better mileage.

  • Damn good truck - 1996 Ford F-150

I was a chevy man for years and hated Fords because I had a 86 ranger4x4 that was pure junk. I wanted a dodge ram but couldnt afford one so I bought a 96 F-150 xlt 4x4. I love it. It is the best vehicle I have ever owned. It rides excellent for a 4x4. I have the 5.0 v8 and it has plenty of pulling power. I have a race car that I tow to the local track and can run 70 mph down the highway with no problem. The truck had 50000 miles on it when I purchased it and now has 102000. The only problem I have had is the automatic hubs had to be replaced due to NAGS HEAD sand.I will not own another truck unless it is a Ford F- 150.

  • Great Truck - 2004 Ford F-150

After 21000 miles Ive had nothing but great driving. Put a little weight in the back and the truck drive super smooth although its pretty good over bumps with the bed empty - much better than the Silverado. The interior design in pretty good although there isnt much storage space, particularly in the rear seating area. The fake wood trim is ok but could be replaced/optioned with carbon fiber like in the Lincoln version. My wife likes the adjustable foot pedals and the addition of a telescoping steering wheel would be ideal for those lacking in height. Overall, this is a great truck and worth the buy.

This truck rocks! I was shocked at the deal I received it was definitely worth the purchase price. I have not have any problems w/ the truck and I have ~70K miles on it. The dealer service is great and the maintenance costs are very reasonable. This truck has very good build quality and has very good performance. I would highly recommend this truck to anyone.

  • No Complaints - 2002 Ford F-150

No complaints. Gas mileage is not great, but I didnt buy a truck expecting it. Back seat is very roomy. Bed doesnt fit long items, but in my case more seating was a priority. More than 20K miles and I have no regrets...yet.

  • Happy but... - 2004 Ford F-150

First time Ford Truck buyer. The quality of the interior is very nice (but cramped) along with a nice ride. However, to get a good truck with decent power, you have to get ALL of the upgrades. Also get the two tone paint, otherwise the truck just has a cheap look to it. Two weeks after buying this truck my neighbor pulls up in a full size Nissan!?! It had the room AND the power I was missing for much less. Please research what you are getting for your money. This is a good truck with a NICE interior, but power and comfort are lacking.
