Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

This truck rides and drives a lot better than my 03.I dont know why the shocks located on out side of the frame makes a difference but it shure does. Also the 04 doesnt have the interior noises(dash rattles)as other trucks I have owned,

This is my first experience with a truck, as I have been shopping for several years. Have rented several brands, for short periods of time, mainly Rangers & S10s. I am really glad I went with the F150 (full size), as it is much better driving, than the smaller pick-ups. What a dream to drive, especially on the road. It is one, great truck!

I have owned this Lightning since I bought it in February, 2002. I drive it nearly every day, and there has not been one moment that I have regretted purchasing this truck. It has plenty of power, good looks, and comfort. I have had people of all ages tell me what a good looking vehicle it is. My wife and I love to go on trips in it, and it is very comfortable for both the pilot and passenger. I also haul home maintenance supplies in it. It is the most fun to drive, best looking, and practical vehicle I have ever owned (including 1958 Austin Healey 100-6, 1959 Chevrolet Impala, 1970 Olds Cutlass W- 31, 1976 Toyota Celica, 1984 Porsche 924. I love this truck!

  • Limited Slip Differential Problems - 2004 Ford F-150
    By -

Ford just rebuilt the 373 differential. Loud whine existed. Supplier was back ordered so must be a problem. Fords lack of interest in helping to get this taken care of tells me that Im done buying new Fords. (This is my 60th Vehicle! - not all Fords) Seating position is excellent but seats are rock hard making it difficult to go more than a few hundred miles at any one time without stopping to stretch your legs. Friends with the Lariat have had leather on seats replaced numerous times due to discoloration. Also having problems with sunroof system. Think twice before buying a new Ford Pickup!

The truck has had no quality issues. The steering feel is good. The suspension feel is like the Lightning. Very pleased with my purchase.
