Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

Our truck has been great to this point. Looks great, runs fine. Very comfortable to drive for me at 6 feet and for my wife at 5 feet because of the adj pedals.

This is a fun to drive truck in a true SVT spirit. Gets a lot of looks and compliments. A pretty rare site on the road. Performs like an SVT should.

  • VERY Disappointed - 2002 Ford F-150

I only wish i could write a rave review like most of the other folks. I have always been told Ford makes the best trucks. This is my first Ford truck. Granted, its a 2002 and I bought it in 2012, but its been a money pit. I was unaware of the "blowing plugs" issue with certain years. Well, i have that year, I guess, and twice plugs have popped. according to complaints, Ford refuses to acknowledge and fix the problem. Now, I have to spend $250. and get new plugs every 30,000. miles. This truck has hurt me, financially. The plugs, heater core, motor for power windows, the shifter has a lot of play and is difficult to get in gear sometimes. I was told i could no longer be tightened and needed a new mechanism in the steering column, $500. The motor for the 4x4 just went, 1/2 of the interior dash lights have burnt out, and the heater blower motor is really noisy and ready to be replaced. add this to the regular stuff, and im tapped. many things i expect, but worrying about spark plugs malfunctioning, and getting hit with not-so-common problems is put a sour taste in my mouth about Fords. Not sure id buy another Ford truck

  • Ivan`s Ford Lightning review - 2003 Ford F-150

I traded my 1999 Mustang GT for a 2003 Ford Lightning Truck. This thing pulls in every gear with monster torque. It blows the Mustang GT away and just about everything else on the road. Plus, you can tow a boat with it. The cab in very roomy and the seats support you very well and, keep you from sliding around when turning. The only draw back is that it only comes with an automatic transmission. I don`t really miss it with this kind of power.

  • Exellent Truck - 2003 Ford F-150

It didnt have the trim option avaliable for my truck so I chose the closest thing. My truck is a XLT, regular cab, short bed, 4.6 V8, and an auto tranny. This by far is my favorite vehicle, it is very comfortable and the design is exellent. The engine is also very powerful and when you step on the gas, it really goes!

  • It so easy to fall in love with - 2010 Ford F-150

The worse thing about this truck in 2w drive is it comes with Pirelli Scorpion tires. They are loud and they dont last very long. From experience, my next set of tires were BF Goodrich Long Trails. They are quite and they will last 3 to 4 times longer than the Pirellis. The long trails had cracks between the treads so I had to replace them. I went with some Yokohamas. They were slightly less expensive and are quieter than the Longtrails. I have also seen better gas mileage. I have had no leaks into the cab and I have had it for 6 years and 78k miles on it. I did add an aftermarket alarm (Viper). My last Lariat had 1 break-in and two other attempts of theft of vehicle or break-ins. It rides smooth. I did get the extended warranty. It supposedly a bumper to bumper warranty. I guess I will find out when something goes out in the next 22k miles. I have had no major problems with it. I did have to tranny software reloaded because of hard shifting and had it in because of the Sony amp went out. I did have it in for what I thought was "tranny clutch plates" going out in an automatic. Not even, they thought it was something in the rear end and replaced it and it still did go away. There was some kind of letter put out by Ford stating that the drive shaft needs to be lubricated every 2 to 3 years because where the drive shaft meets the tranny needs to slide in and out because the rear end moves up and down. This only happens when you first start off and in harsh terrain, which most truck driver wont experience. This took 2wks to figure out, but Ford put me in a renter till they figured it out. :o) It was FX2 with the 2l eco boost. That thing is too fast 0 to60. It feels light and nimble. My truck is a stock truck in the Lariat trim. It is roomy front and back. I can carry 3 full grown men (football players) and had no complaint, but complements on how roomy it was to ride in. After 90k, I am still satisfied with my truck. I am still asked if it is brand new or just a couple of years old. I plan on keeping this truck forever! I may buy another truck, but this one has been too good to us. :o)

  • What a great vehicle - 1999 Ford F-150

I had always owned imports because of the reliability, 115,000 miles later the only thing I have done to this truck is put gas in it and change the oil and one set of tires. It runs like new, drives like new. Amazing Great work Ford! The only complaint I have is the wind noise while on the Highway could be quieter, I guess 2004 fixes this. I have the 4.6 V8 and get about 17-19 mpg on this truck. I will be buying a new super crew to replace this as my kids are getting older.
