Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

  • Absolutely nothing better. - 2015 Ford F-150

Having worked at a dealership I have spent more time than the general consumer getting to know and test every square inch of these new pickups and as long as you get the right engine for what you need and get all of the features you want, you will fall in love with this truck more and more everyday you drive it. Having the 2.7L V6 Ecoboost was the right choice for me in that when I pull anything its a small camper or boat, which with 7600lbs towing capacity it more than gets the job done. The same engineers who created the new 6.7L Powerstroke motor in 2011 are the same engineers who created this 2.7L Ecoboost motor, with a CGI block and diesel inspired pistons, you can really feel how amazing this motor is and still gets great gas mileage. Ive had many farmers and ranchers ride in my pickup who drive every brand of truck out there and are all diesel heads and are amazed by what this pick up can do. Contrary to popular belief, the aluminum is better than steel in every way, from being safer for everybody inside, to being more dent resistant with the inability to rust. No matter what they try to say as well, Ford has done a ton of work to make sure that its not more expensive to get fixed than the old style. For example the front quarter panels are the exact same cost to replace in aluminum as they were in steel. When you get below the surface down the the frame and everything else, their isnt a pick up out there that can even come close. No body has a stronger frame or a better designed body to protect everything. Example being that chevy has absolutely nothing protecting the engine compartment and Ford has more protection not only in the front of the truck but everywhere else around it as well. Talking to any Ford dealerships truck expert can show you every little advantage down to the bed bolts instead of the welds like other trucks. Having owned and driven the other competitors and spent the equivalent of weeks studying all trucks from top to bottom, their isnt a better truck that you can buy. When youre spending the extra money on a Ford, its not just for the name, its for the quality inside and out that no other truck can compare to.

  • F-150 -- Good Truck - 1999 Ford F-150

This truck has been a great one to own, but I am ready for something that gets a little better gas mileage. The only problem I have had with the truck is Ford brakes. This is the second Ford I have owned and had the same issues with both vehicles.

  • Doesnt Get Any Better - 2004 Ford F-150

First Truck, I was waiting for a new design, they really did it right this time. Drives like a catty, power of a bulldoser and interior of a sports car. I pull two snowmobiles behind it and you dont even know there behind you. Awesome Truck, would recommend anyone to buy it!

This truck is a modern marvel. It is built so well, has excellent handling, and is VERY powerful. I would reccomend this truck to anyone that wants power that is actually there, and not just claimed by the builder.

  • Reliability? - 2018 Ford F-150

As others have noted, Edmonds choices for my truck don’t exist. I have the 3.5 turbo with the short bed. Had the truck three weeks and then the “wonderful” 10 speed transmission wouldn’t shift. Trucks been in the shop for over a week and still not back to me. Not even a month with my truck and here we go. Supposedly a sensor, but its taken over a week to get it fixed? Horrible. All the looks and hype of the technology is meaningless if it doesn’t run. Wish a new model Tundra was an option....

  • Great Truck - 2006 Ford F-150

No problems so far. Great looks and nice quiet ride. Getting good mileage 15.5 in town 18.0 highway.

  • More time in shop than on road - 2001 Ford F-150
    By -

We have owned this vehicle for 3 months now and have had to take it in for repair six times. Seems like it has been in the shop more than we have driven it. I dont feel it is reliable at all! Hope to get it off our hands ASAP!

  • My 5th Ford Truck - 2004 Ford F-150

This is the ultimate in pickups. Power to spare, room for everyone, easy to drive and handles great. My wife loves this machine! This truck is like a sedan with a bed! My 5th Ford pickup since 1995, and Ive never had one thing go wrong with any of them. I laugh at the Ram and Chevy owners I work with when they tell me of breakdowns they experience. I even got a loyal Chevy fan to switch to Ford. Of course I must admit it was pretty easy when his Z74 kept breaking down after 50000 miles. You cant go wrong with this truck!
