Pros:

Cons:
  • Feels sluggish even with larger V8, no available side airbags, not much interior storage space.

  • full of vibrations - 2005 Ford F-150

Truck is all right if you dont mind driveline vibrations that Ford cant fix, oil leaks and rattles which could be caused by the vibrations.

I find it bounces around a lot when driving at slower speeds. I also have the chatter on the floor boards on the driver side. My 95 F150 was a smoother ride!

Use this vechile for my business and to pull a 7,400 pound trailer. Pulls better than any of my previous trucks. Gas mileage could be better.

Only had it for 3 weeks but love it. Beautiful, powerful, luxurious. Went with a spray-in bed (negotiated a credit for the plastic liner part of the package) and a aluminum fold down tonneau cover (Fold A Cover) and solved the storage space issue. Fuel economy is not good (15/18) but fits my situation.

I purchased this vehicle after several years in a Ranger. The main reason for the move to a larger truck is so I could load an ATV in the bed and do away with a trailer. Excellent move, but at the time of purchase the longer beds were not available thus I have to remove the cross-over box if I want the ATV totally inside the bed, or I have to secure with the tailgate down. Just returned from a week long trip in the wilds of the Nevada desert and found the F-150 perfect for my needs and excellent ride. It does NOT get the mileage in the city as advertised; a little better on the highway, especially if you utilize cruise control, but off-road, for some reason, it got excellent mileage!

  • F150 SUPER DUTY - 2005 Ford F-150

I have been very happy with it so far in overall style and price. I looked at all the other trucks and got a Ford. I was not sure it was a wise investment and have been very happy I did. Only a couple of things I do not like is that the work truck came without a CD player and no running boards standard on the heavy duty equipment package I purchased. I think they should be provided on all the extra payload trucks. Has good pick and go power overall. Not a race horse. Yet a good overall work horse. :]

  • Blown Rear after 1100 miles = F150 - 2005 Ford F-150
    By -

The tilt steering wheel lever broke off after 400 miles. The rear end went, needed a clutch pack replacement after only 1,100 miles. I asked that the dealer where I purchased the truck clearly document the issues and resolutions in case I needed to pursue Lemon Laws. They then refused to work on the truck. Ford Motor company no help. I took the truck to another dealer to get it fixed (still lots of shudder / grinding / slipping) then traded it in on a Dodge. This truck cost me a lot of money. I only owned it for ten days.

  • Tough Safe Truck - 2005 Ford F-150

I owned a 2004 SuperCab that was a piece of junk. Many problems! I traded for a 2005 Supercrew Lariat. After 800 miles someone turned in front of me when I was going 45 mph. Air bag went off, and $13,500 worth of damage to truck. All in front of doors. I hurt my hand on the steering wheel when it spun out of control, but I was not injured severely. If I would have been in a Chevy, I would not have been so lucky. They might not be the fastest or stop the quickest, but I believe they are the safest! And they ride and look better than all the rest!

  • My Ford - 2005 Ford F-150

I have owned my truck for only two months. The comfort and initial quality of the vehicle are outstanding. It provides a smooth quiet ride and plenty of power to get the job done. The steering and handling are superb, especially considering the size of the vehicle. The appearance and styling of the vehicle is second to none. No other truck on the market, in my opinion, can match the tough, bold, appearance of the Ford.

  • Great Work and Family Vehicle - 2005 Ford F-150

So far this is the best truck I have ever owned. The sound system is awsome, the handling is great, it has a lot of power and great comfort.
