Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

  • My fifth F150 and they keep getting better - 2015 Ford F-150
    By -

After owning four F150s (2000, 2005, 2010, 2012), I tinkered with the idea of getting a GMC Sierra. I do like the way the GMCs look. I went to a local dealership and they let me drive a 2016 GMC Sierra SLT 5.3L around for the weekend. The first thing I noticed was a very sluggish feel to exceleration compared to my 2012 F150 5.0. Also, the interior had a cheap feel to it. I eventually passed on the Seirra and ended up back in an F150. It has the 3.5L ecoboost engine. Man, this thing is fast. Overall, I love the truck. Fords just seem to be getting better and better. Glad I stayed with the F150.

Truck currently runs 13.05@112mph with only a larger crank pulley, Cold air intake, and a Diablo Revolution chip. Better tires will get 12s. Do not believe mid to low 12s with these options. Its only talk. The truck now Dynos at 460hp, and looks great with a dual ram air hood from Cervinis.com

This truck is a riot to own! The looks you get from people are worth the cost alone. But the real joy is when you open it up and scare the unsuspecting victims! Definitely get one if you have the means!!

  • Year Long Honeymoon - 2004 Ford F-150

After a year and 14,000 miles living with my aspen green screw, I can say this is the highest quality vehicle Ive ever owned. Had no problems whatsoever and upholstery is wearing very well. It is a great hauler for my 19 Chapparral and also for my family on long trips.

Have 5.4l engine. Upgraded to longer warranty as I realize I could fix almost nothing under the hood. Easy to drive despite huge size, gas mileage has been about the same as my previous 4l Ford Ranger.

this truck is by for the best truck you can get for the money. 380 hp for only $32000, i mean the srt-10 is 500hp but almost $50000.

  • Ford 4x4 F-150 Extended Cab - 2002 Ford F-150
    By -

This truck gets 13-15 mpg empty. If you put a 21 foot camper behind it, it loses gas mileage and power. It struggles with a heavy load. but the quality is great! Need more power and much better mpg. The remote key should be able to unlock the doors when the truck is running.

  • My first pickup - 2001 Ford F-150

I moved from an SUV to a pickup of equal weight. I find it more comfortable, but more difficult to handle because of the extended wheelbase. Stopping distance is not as short as I would like. The automatic braking system prevents skids but does not seem to respond briskly enough for my taste.

  • Best Truck I have ever owned - 2005 Ford F-150
    By -

I have a 1999 F150 extended cab 4.6L Triton engine. This has been the best truck I have ever owned. I called the Ford dealership at 70,000 miles to check on how much a tune up, brakes you know, what I thought was time or past time, to have done to keep it up to date on maintenance, and was told or asked why? Its not recommended until 100,00 miles. I was shocked! I had run into a little extra money and wanted to have this done while I had the money. To my great surprise, it was not time. The ride and comfort is superb. I will definitely buy another one, if this one EVER runs down. Its like the Energizer Bunny ... It keeps going and going and going! I LOVE IT!

  • V6 XLT Sport - 2001 Ford F-150

Car has been very reliable and fun to drive. The only problem I ever had was the seat belt retract system on the driver side. Would like to see more power out of the V6 in the future.
